I was wondering on model composition. I was planning on using a heavily converted metal mini as my vet sarge model. Maybe metal torso/legs/head, plastic backpack/arms/weapons. Is this allowable?

Hi.
I've been thrown into this with not really knowing whats going on.
I have been informed that I am to paint up a Veteran SG. I do not know what company he is meant to be part of.
When the transfers are done I was wondering if I could get about ten. Mostly cause I'm a tard when it comes to transfers but also because I'm making a squad of deathwatch and would like a member of the warseers in it.

Brutius Maximus, Veteran Sergeant
Tyra_Nid: You were the first person to enquire about a Dread. As a Guilder you can be a Vet of the first company, if you want to be a Dreadnought attached to the first company, then so be it
devolutionary: As a rule of thumb Squads arranged by groups must first be tactical, if there are enough people to make 2 squads then you may choose a Devestator or Assault squad. Should you be able to assemble a third squad you may choose to make an Assault or Devestator squad (whichever you have not yet made). should you wish to make any more squads than this you would either have to max each squad out, which means you can start again assembling another Tac/Ass/Dev squad. Or you can make additional Tactical squads without being requred to max out. (I hope that makes sense).
Command squads are a different subject.Any group wishing to become one of our character's bodyguards can do so, BUT the specialist roles in the squad can only be taken by Guilders, the normal members can only be what would normally be available to them this is sumarised in the list below:-
- Guilders: Apothercary, Company standard (Captains only*), Holy relic bearer (Chaplains only), Company Champion (Captains only*), Veteran Sergeant.
- Members: Marines, all other options in the Command squad list, with the usual restrictions, are available, except for terminator honours.
* Captains only refers to the simple fact that you only get one of these guys to a company so only one per Company commander
tyranid05: By all means.
x-esiv-4c: If you have been told what model you are to make you are probably in a group, the group you are with will be deciding upon which company to join. The Painting support group, for example, are, by virtue of their extrodinary efforts and organisation, in sole charge of the 5th Company.
VanHel: We are hoping to secure a supply of the Transfers from griffon to send out to people, I don't think that you'll need more than one sheet for your purposes BUT I think that additional sheets will be available from Griffon Games at their usual prices.
plasmadaemon: Any tutorials will be linked via the "welcome brothers" and FAQ threads. Chances are most of the tutorials will be housed in the Painting and Terrain forum, although if time and resources allow, there may be rom for these things actually on the battle barge itself.

Are there going to be any Techmarines as part of the companies/army lists, or is this something we have to bring up to our Company Commanders? Also if the answer is yes, who will have rights to be Techmarines?
Hi
If I understand correctly: rkunisch will be our resident Techmarine, as he is our resident *Techmarine*
Greetings

Festus is right Gannon,Techmarines are not available. perhaps, if you contact Rkunisch, he might consider you for an apprentice though.

Dear Auntie Bagger,
I have a question I would like to ask. Since we are taking See, but don't be seen as one of our trait advantages, we are able to upgrade squads with the Infiltrate skill. How much should this affect the colour scheme of squads that have this skill? Will infiltrating squads be painted in camouflage colours, or will they still take the normal chapter colours?
Kind regards,

Problems to get your minis painted? Maybe you should visit the WarSeer Painting Support Group.
The goal of Computer Engineering is to build something that will last at least until we've finished building it.

TWB is there going to be a recruitment thread for the 5th company? I would prefer 5th to 2nd,3rd and 4th.
Cheers,
Adam
Brother Smith the recruitment thread for the 5th company is http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15076.

Has anybody considered what colour eyes our marines will have?
Do we want the same coloured eyes on every marine, or can we do whataever looks best on our own marines?

McMullet, I have never been able to reconcile an 8 foot tall man in motorised armour with "stealth", I have always imagined Marines to sound a bit like robocop when they walk about. Marines don't use Cammoflage though.
Yes it is tom.

What about a camo poncho over the power armour? Scouts do it.
I mean you've got to model infiltration somehow.
I thought power armour was driven by fibre bundles that expand and contract when a current is applied to them, in which case they wouldn't make that much noise.![]()

Um, how heavy is a marine? I'd say they make plenty noise when they move, just because they're so big.
I don't understand the infiltrating marine rules. Gav Thorpe wrote an article for Inquisitor about using space marines, which stated quite emphatically that a space marine would go into a combat situation head first, not sneak around, which seems to directly contradict the new codex...![]()
But this is off topic.
