    Feral ork silly question

I've recently started a feral ork army, and tonight came across some questions when paytesting a list.

    1. Squiggoths are large models and are on large bases. The scratch/conversions I have will never fit under a blast template. Are there tournament standards for hitting monsterous creatures with an ordinance blast? (i.e. how much of the blast template has to be over the base to set a 'partial hit' apart from a 'hit')

    2. (just for fun) Squiggoths being large models, realistically should the model be removed when its killed. (We had fun playtesting a squiggoth corps as difficult terrain. Picture 20 mad boys running through the entrails of a squiggoth heading for some lowly guardsmen. Since it has wounds, I'm sure its supposed to be removed, but we couldn't help it.)

Anyway, I'm more interested in what people have to say about the template thing, but all comments welcome, of course.

    1. if You take the rules literally, then a model with a bigger base than a large blast template would only suffer hit from large blasts on a 4+. my house rule would be like this: if the centerpoint is on its base, it's hit, if not, then You roll a 4+.

    2. in my opinion You can always modify the rules on a friendly game slightly if it's fun, or makes the game more realistic and Your opponent agrees with it.

As you get an automatic hit if the whole base is under the template I would say that you also get that if the whole template is over the base
If you see me comin', better step aside

If the right one don't get you
    Then the left one will

Yea I go with the if all of the template covers the base it is a hit. If it scatters 1 inch it is a 4+. Thats how we play with my Barbed Heirodule as the base is just slightly bigger than the pie plate.
Despite my valiant effort to beat the thing into submission, my snooze alarm almost always wins.
