WarSeers Campaign Badges

In order to indicate membership of various WarSeer Groups we are thinking of creating a number of Campaign Badges.

The Badges must be in keeping with Space Marine insignia where possible, and be simple.

There is enough space on the WarSeers transfer sheet to allow them to be added, so the simplicity of design/painting is not a major issue.

Therefore ideas for Badges are welcome.

And no, pants/underwear or other nonsense from The Wastoids will not be welcomed especially as you guys will be Veteran Marines.

WPSG are having a puriy seal with a paint brush on i think. i know Captain Brown mentioned something like that or someone else did. (or maybe it was me and i just don't remember)

And for the Badge I'd recommend a simple design like a crossed sword and mace or some such historical weapon.

Read able to "warp sanity and common sense" as "witter on incesantly and cause temporal loops that make you feel like you've heard it all before"

As groups expand into more than one group, it's nice to still be able to tie the group together.

I think that a big part of warseer is teh (now offsite) warseers urban dead clan, prehapsthe letters UD below the regular badge would be a good extra for teh transfer sheet, i suggest placing no more than 5 or 10.

Don't think so much about where to put the design as what the design should be, this way persons who belong to more than one group can represent each with a series of campaign badges.

I am planning to get these badges included on the transfer sheet.

I have to second Tom's suggestion: those who frequent The Wastes have been discussing using a hammer badge. This is quite a standard Space Marine badge, not in any way provocative, yet still illustrates a recurring Wastoid concept. Seems quite appropriate.

I'm going to suggest a zombie hand holding an inquisitorial =][= for the urbandead badge. How feasable would that be?

I think perhaps for the Urbandeaders, there should be a text badge, such as

I fail to see how this equates to a marking for our group, especially when many wastoids won't be using their "special privelidge" in order to join some other group that they feel affinity with. Hardly fair if you ask me. What if those who are not taking veteran marines are allowed to take some special marking to note they are guilders? I'd like to note, Wintermute, that we have been pretty good about NOT going nuts with pantless humor, after an initial explosion of silly ideas. We want this to work just as much as you.

Androgynous' sentiment is very much echoed; just because we're mad doesn't mean we're somehow destined to spoil this project. Even if we go around it in odd ways (the squad assignment chart is a picture of a car's gearstick) we want this to be a proper chapter. Nid and McMullet are doing fine work getting us organised, Xhalax, TA and Xesiv are putting a good deal of work in, and we got the honour badge sorted now (pix attached)

Any madness is purely in the presentation of ideas, the hard work is honest.

What about using standard designs for GW decal sheets for campaign badges? There's plenty to go at and it would give everything a pretty uniform look as a freehand badge isn't the best option for all members producing models of a consistant standard.

I beleieve TWB said there's a possibility that they'll end up on the transfer sheets. I'm currently working out how to paint ours on my test mini.
