thanks guys
I've not had a lot of time to work on the army since the warhawks were finished, but I have knocked out some Glade Guard scouts ready for painting. No massive conversions here, just meldingtheir lower legs with some branches to differentiate them from the regular GG. Hoping to paint them tomorrow so there should be some pics up soon
Thanks
Corai
Great stuff here!
While reading you saying "I want a second unit of hawkriders" the idea sprang to mind on having a unit sitting in trees instead of flying... Maybe you can use it?

Long time no update! I've not finished anything terribly exciting this week, just a couple more asrai core choices to add some diversity and flexibility to the army. First up, a unit of glade guard scouts:
These guys were supposed to look enough like gladeguard to fill in for extra GG when needed, but be distinct enough to be identifiable as a slightly differant unit. All of the models are meant to look like they're forming/emerging from the branches, something which is not evident in the GG unit. My initial intention was to use these interchangably as waywatchers of scouts, depending on my needs, but I don't think they look quite special enough to be WW somehow. I may try to convert some alternative WW's using the same basic idea, but having whole bodies forming from banches, like the branchwaraith conversion, and add some extra GS details to make the more distinct

Secondly this week I built and painted a quick unit of glade riders. I kept the emerging from trees theme that all ridden beasts have had in the army so far, but to make them distinguishable from the already painted wildriders, I made sure to have mostly asrai parts make up the riders, and kept them all with longbows.
Truth be told, I'm starting to run out of steam on this army, I'm hearing the siren song of other projects more and more each day (rhulic mercs and BFG tau espescialy) but I really want to at least build and paint everthing I've bought so far. With that in mind I'd like to have a stab att he following over the next 2 weeks
20 eternal guard + nobles BSB
mounted spelsinger/glamourweave
great eagel - now I'm not sure what to do with this one. I was originaly goinf to mount a spellweaver or noble on it for larger points games, but I already have plenty of character choices, I wonder if I'd be better just going with a straight rare choice eagle for smaller scale games. Any thoughts?
Thanks

This has turned out to be a masterpiece of an army dude. Beautiful stuff.
Well if youre going to make a project better than this one you might have the freedom to move away from the bushelves.. :P
I just reflected over something with your army. I think its awesome and beutiful but are they afraid of touching the actual ground? Because they all found some treelog to stand on!![]()

I like the glade riders a lot! That greyish green horses look very good.
I think it could be a good idea to do the eagle as a normal eagle. It's a great choice for a cheap points if you do not use two treemen or Waywatchers. The options for some variation of your list does not hurt.
Absolutely unbelievably awesome!
