Very cool that you got more work done on the bridge Morglum, I am looking forward to seeing these possible drawbridges and other gadgets and towers/houses that will invariably be added. Good to see that you are getting work done on the hills as well. That photoshopped picture looks awesome, creating a lot of depth. Liking that water colour as well. Keep the updates coming!

Such logical facts have never gotten in the way of the 'workshop widows' whom consider this a waste of time and money when the room could have been used either as a kids play room, or a walk in wardrobe with sliding shoe racks.

The build continue to inspire and impress!

Dannage is currently seeking conversion bits to turn Cadian guardsmen and Orks into casualties. If anyone in the South East of England has some bits they are willing to convert or cast up, pm me regards samples and costs.

Dannage, LOL a walk in wardrobe with sliding shoeracks does seem to take up a spare room. Maybe buy her her favorite shoes and show her your design of a warhammer table with build in shoeracks?

I used fast drying cement on the jute and it dries up really 'rocky'. As it dries real fast – within 2 minutes of mixing – I'm now using plaster for the larger areas.

    Re: Warhammer table

    Thanks malorian.

This is some work done on the caves under the Rivergate and above the Talabec. I used plaster to 'glue' the wood, plaster and hardfoam rocks to the mdf river surface and polystyrene. I really want to paint the board, but first everything is got to be put together. That means a few more hours working with cement and plaster...

My thumb was numb from carving out the stones, but the archers and pilars are now done. The middle pilar needs to be attached to a small base of 4 mm MDF. I'll try to allign the T-part as good as possible, but it probably will show a small seam. Oh well, it doesn't matter. Now I can begin work on the top of the bridge.

I've also made a start on the remaining walls and towers of this side of the castle.

Good start on the walls! Eager to see how this will turn out in the end; I love the scale of the whole project, and that the table is really in 3 dimensions. Those hills and cliffs look very nice.

    Re: Warhammer table

Thanks Scythe, the scale is a great thing, but I need to break out a wall if I want the table to fit as a whole. Maybe will do that in the future.

Thanks Jez, well a very wealthy railroad enthusiast would be my dream, if he would hire me to make scenery for money

I made some progress the last couple of days.

Two round towers for the Rivergate.

One tower with an open hatch. You can see part of the stairway going below.

this corner connects one gatetower with the wall.

the Rivergate is one section on a piece of styrofoam. The wall and towersection to the right is another section on a piece of styrofoam. I've found that on this scale, you need to make the pieces of terrain as seperate parts.

The fortress is progressing...Soon, very soon, it will be ready. (Un)friendly forces just may be lurking and waiting.

Any chance of "traps" being installed to surprise those lurkers?
