Blood angels can actually do 5 raiders at 1750.
I have 5 godhammers sitting on my desk awaiting paint, and i'm tempted to try it out. 10 mobile twin lascannons should do quite well. just keep them at range.

Just a question here to our member of the Circle how best can we counter mech orks with 2 kff bubbles protecting two battlewagons?
same way you'd do it if the KFF wasn't there - use the speeders to get side shots. deploy your las preds on the flanks to get flank shots.
Battlewagon holds 15 Orks, unless Gazzy is in there (and with 2 KFF he won't be). A charge from 15 Orks should result in 1-2 dead termis tops. You can the counter charge with impunity.
Just as a correction:
Battlewagons hold 20 figs, on average that would be 18 Orks, 1 Nob and the Big Mek with Kustom Force Field. Typical. The Orks will generally shoot before they charge (20 pistols or 36 shootas/2 pistols) and then hit you like a ton of bricks. 72 Str. 4 Attacks+4 Str 5 Attacks+4 In 1 Str 9 Power Klaw attacks all hitting on 4's. A battle wagon full of Orks is not a nice surprise. If the chance arises, charge the Orks so that they are only Str. 3, helps a ton.

Alright my fellow warseerites, I face a conundrum. I will be going to a local tournament in New Orleans, but its 1500 points. I very rarely play at that points level, so I don't know if deathwing is effective, or what I'll be facing. However, I have thought of 2 different lists, comments and criticism welcome.

If you have preds or a 3rd speeder I'd go the 2nd list and drop squad echo and add more support. If you don't own the models then drop echo and 2 chainfists and add 2 dreads. I really think 4 squads plus support is better than 5 squads at 1500 but I don't think the 2 RAS squads are the proper way to go.
With small store meta's it may still work though it all depends on your store. I know my local gw I could get away with a list like that but if I tried it at the Chicago battle bunker I'd have my ass handed to me. It really depends on what you expect to see and what you have practice running.

1500 on the nose
Captain Collius posted a solid list for 1500. Don't completely agree with his squad loadouts but the belial, 4 DW squads w/ cml, apoth, and banner, 3 speeder, 1 pred list is sound.
@Droma: how would you run the squads?
I've changed my mind. Stormshield them all up if you're walking.
Leave shooting to the IG. And our support elements.
Don't confuse toy soldiers and real life.
I thought you were playing like you got a pair, what happened?
yeah i wanna do this but i am limited by models at this point but i'm gonna proxy it and try it soon

What's with the crazy responses guys? If you want to win you can't let fluff cloud your judgement when building lists. He's right, it's a superior choice
I still think that 3 stormbolters in a squad is a good thing. last night I played against a 3 tervigon list and I was more than happy that I had 3 squads with 3 stormbolters and a 4th squad with all stormbolters. They reaped a very bloody tally of gaunts and removed screens so that other squads could charge the nasties behind them. With only TH/SS I would not have won the game.
