Scouts (10th company) discussion thread.

Well with the beginnings of our chapter well underway, i thought it only appraiote that there be at least one scout squad left over from the ruins of our fair planet.

You can't have a chapter without scouts.

So basically anybody interested in doing a scout for the chapter please pm me here or put up a note and ill add you. Thats if anybody is interested.

So at the mo all we have is myself

I'm looking to recruit several squads including one dedicated to long range snipers, a close combat squad and others training in boarding actions using shotguns.

Veteran sargeants to lead and inspire these initiates will also be welcome.

Brimmy? Can I stick myself down for the Tenth? I'd rather like to command a "boarding action" squad (but, as yet, I'm not a guilder). Would it be cheeky of me to "reserve" the honour? I'll try and set it up a.s.a.p.

If you're a guilder then of course you can submit it.

However we need to go out and spread the word otherwise you'll be commanding a very empty squad.

As a Sergeant you can find and organise your own squad if you wish.

If you do any recruiting keep it within forum rules, polite and do not be too pushy.

I'd think the main course in recruiting would be to persuade people to donate a Scout, and you can do that regardless you're a Guilder, or a Sergeant.

If the 10th is kinda low on personell right now, it's probably better to pool anyone interested and work out positions later...

Just to reitterate a few points, scouts.
Guilders can be veterans but anyone can be a sergeant, as long as there is space, for anyone to be a sergeant (veteran or otherwise) you'll need 4 other people to be regular squad members.
The sergent (veteran or otherwise) will be responsible for recruiting his men and deciding (with the rest of the squad) how to equip them.

ok cool. Just clarfied a few things for me.

If thats the case with regards to recuitment, is it possible for me to this thread for that? If not any ideas on how to go about it? I only ask as even though i been about on the forums quite abit, im not really a huge poster as such, so contact with people is limited. If i can't get anybody i will quite happily donate a new squad of scouts, gives me a modeling project to get back into the hobby.

By all means use this thread to recruit. Any recruits you have can spread the word, and Brother Captain Brimstone, I'm sure, Will be making his own efforts to populate his Company.

I'd rather you contributed a single model and made more of a effort on the recruiting at the moment

This is about members contributing a single model to represent themselves and will also help you meet more people on the forums.

At the moment we have a veteran Sgt (Snipe) and a regular Sgt (highmarshaldave) he will have to guild if he wants to become a vet and have access to his planned equipment
