Very nice...
BoLS has a variety of decals for uncommon Astartes chapters...I can't remember if the Angels of Redemption are among them, but it's worth a look.
Why unhappy about the Sgt? He looks fine to me.

Great scheme and paintjob.
And I too wonder what´s wrong with the sarge, he looks fine ^^
I saw the BoLS thing and it's really good but I am struggling to find the clear acrlic spray in Noway. If anyone knows where I can get it let me know!
Thanks for the comments about the sarge. He is okay. I just didn't want to highlight the robes too much so he looks kinda dull. The studded shoulder pad is so badly sculpted I had no idea.
Great looking stuff. Nice colors that offset eachother well.
I agree that the Sergeant looks fine to me. How are you going to base them?

I have some plasticard with a york stone effect on them. I just need to by a hollow drill bit about 22mm across so I can "drill" them out.
This will give them a nice monastic feel to them.
Great painting on a lovely colour scheme! I really like this! First I wasn't entirely sold on the red guns, but seeing the squad finished made me change my mind.
What are you gonna do with the bases?
Cheers,

So I have a big stack of Mills plasticard with the yorkstone effect stamped on it. If you have ever been in the north of england you would recognize this as the big limestone(?) slabs they used for footpaths/side walks/pavement in the good old days.
The red guns look cool. Red guns are one of the distinctive features of the adeptus astartes so I had to atleast see how they look.
Okay some progress!
The first of many dreadnaughts is well under way. It is mainly just details that are left to do...
The pic isn't great but he looks pretty clean. The plasma cannon really reinforces the DA feel. So overall I am quite pleased not least because this is only about 5 hours workquite quick for me.
Looks awsome so far ^.^ I'll be watching you to see the rest ;D
God work man! I'd probably go with more subtle highlight, but that's a matter of taste. I basolutely LOVE that you shade your marines properly (as in all the obvious recesses).
I'd like to see that rhino cokmpleted, and maybe a bit of freehand on the doors(?). That would have it stick out quite a bit. Wouldn't have to be anything big, maybe just a sword or something.
These guys look great. Love the 2 tone scheme! can't wait to see more

Ever wondered why Maths seemed so hard?

Hey guys thanks for all the positive comments.
The dread is more or less finished. I am just awaiting Decal paper which I ordered from amazon to arrive (another wek or two I reckon).

Shopping list.............
I know that the panels are a bit hard edged with the highlights. but unfortunately without alot of time to shade this is what looks best. So long as you keep it clean it looks good. Really the painting style is poor mans tribute to Spikeyjames. Old james has turned this art into an industrial process and he gets to have his armies showcased in the Apoc book.
Free hand... might happen... what I am hoping is that I can loot some imagery from the net and apply as transfers to the dread and the whirly. I agree with suggestions I might go with a green sword and a bone sword to mix the colours up.
Plasma cannon dude gets his head from the Ravenwing Sprue. A sprue that rocks absolutely.
Hey Daniel the project is rumbling along now thanks!
Next up is the Whirlwind. It is already basecoated, washed, and the "main coat" is now in progress. I am dreading the Landspeader - so many small panels!!!!!1!
Very nicely done.
I agree that the red guns are awsome. I never really realised that they had disapeared, I recently got a hole wack of really old models off a friend and all their guns are red :P
Well I signed up here at Warseer after lurking for about a month just to post on your projectlog! I was wondering if you could give a step by step guide to painting one of your marines? Pictures for each step would be awesome too if you have time!!
Amazing looking AoR, inspired me to paint my army this theme![]()
looking really good
love the dread and the plasma gunner
keep it up
