All the very best my good man

Seriously though I also like the simple tyre choice of gloosy effect. Think it enhances the snow base

They were reasonable until recently, just £20 for a tac squad. In fact it was worth buying the IH box for regular tacticals of any other chapter as you got all the extra IH bits for a measly £2 which went for far more on ebay than that. However they just bumped the price up to £25 per IH box which put an end to that.

lol. I've tried to give the others a bionic 'bit' be it an arm or leg. And they all have the ravenwing techy helmets to enchance the look.

Its true, though I think when the 20 marines are all together on the table it won't look that repetative. We'll have to wait and see! As for bionics on helmets, I've always thought of them as external additions rather than an example of the bionics that lie underneath if that makes sense?

lol yeh a few bits - they all get used/traded/sold in the end.

Yeh I went with blue as I'm trying to limit the colours in the army to 3 strong tones (metal/blues/deep red) and didn't want to introduce a vivid colour to a rank and file marine. That said it does look a bit subdued, it was blue or red and I went with blue.

Your bases are suitably festive with all this snow on my screen.

Really enjoy looking at the models in this log, you never disappoint.

I especially love that little blood splatter.

Thanks Hemo. Got a few more minis to take pics of soon, so a reasonably major update in a few days with a bit of luck and light.

Kind words CS thanks! I also like the blood but am trying to use it sparingly. I always want to dawb it all over the place as I love the consitency of tamiya clear red.

looks fantastic so far, I am working on space marines with black armor as well and your painting has inspired me to try the silver weathering style of highlighting. I think it looks fantastic and If I can execute it as well as you I will be very happy. Any tips on your execution and process?

Yeah, Only problem is my previous 2 Threads, Raven Guard and Reavers just faded away, very few people paid them any attention. So i can't be arsed to go through the process of writing up a log for it to die in a week as usual. Sorry but the only way you will get to see my armies is if you were to ever come to Oxford GW or I to Reading. Unless, you don't by any chance have Messenger?

    EDIT

Oh, and great work on the Predator, that looks very cool. Although a bit tactically unsound but still, I couldnt do any better.

Ah come on Fay...even my log gets sucked into oblivion after one day of new updates...and only one or two comments....but its not the comments which count but the views....and its nice one and then to get some praise....although not in the thread itself but even outside praise is nice

Anyway back to the topic....so we have a predator...with a very static main gun and no sponsons?...

sure for 60 pts its a nice expensive mobile durable twin linked auto cannon....but one weapon destroyed result and gone are the auto cannons...

So main question here Rev....is this just a prototype or did you oversee the sponsons due to the cheap price of 60 pts!...60 pts is a bargain....damn the more times I say 60 pts the more I sound as a tv salesman....so basicly sponsons yes or no?

also having a closer look at your list....one predator on its own seems rather an obvious target for all the enemies anti tank weapons?...a whirlwhind behind some hard cover would have more chances to last the whole 6 turns?...I predict this lone brave pred to die quite a lot on turn 1 or 2....
