Mat Ward should get some recognition for bringing back the old school in that sense) makes it a lot better. If all Grey Knight armies looked like this people would feel much better about losing to them
    Thanks BTB, I'm not a fan of the new silver scheme but enjoying painting them this way. I think this army is pretty dirty, I don't play the game but the units I'm painting give me the feeling it's pretty competative.

    I believe so. There is another one which is being used for a rhino driver.

    Two dreadnoughts finished:

    You are a machine! The speed you knock these wonderful creations out is both amazing and horrifying.

    The Dreads look superb.

    This is one Grey Knights army that I wouldn't mind getting annihilated by!!

    lovely work Rev, really enjoying the retro-feel to these Grey Knights, as said above i think it's a vast improvement on the latterly conceived silver scheme. The pair of Forge World Dreadnoughts are particularly striking!

    Wonderful work still. I like that they look less ostentatious. One of my big GW bugbears at the moment is the amount of unecessary detail they cram onto all the new minis. Some of the pieces are stunning of course but does every component need the thrice barred I or a wolf head or a blood drop? The darker scheme makes this detail less prevalent which, in my opinion, makes the armour look more ornate- finely crafted rather than bling. I hope that makes sense. I love the dreadnoughts.

    Man, that is a really nice small force. Nothing like a finely detailed small force. Each model has a real definitive look and feel of it's own. I like it.

    Everytime I check this log, I start looking at my pile of unpainted models and feel inadequate. I'm going to start painting my necron's tomorrow!

    I really like how you have painted your Grey Knights.
    I also have a question regarding the Vallejo Airbrush Primer. Do you use the normal Vallejo primer or the Polyurethane primer and which color of primer do you use for undercoating the black parts of the models?

    Re: Rev's 'mostly marines' Showcase

    Good question;

    its the 74602 black acrylic polyurethane primer (I didn't realise there was more than one type!)

    Basecoat is Vair black mixed with a touch of french blue.
