Saw your article on GW as I passed by the laptop on the way to work.

Must say it's nice to see your work on display like that, even nicer to know I've seen some of those models grow up. *tear*

Gratulation on the article. You deserve it

Did they "re-do" your article in a more GW friendly way? They did that to Stahly, replacing some sentences with more advertising and how much he loved their products.

lol can you tell? It's actually fairly hilarious how many links they squeezed in their isn't it! Still i'm grateful for their coverage and they've been jolly friendly and supportive via email.

    Re: Rev's 'mostly marines' Showcase

Some basic things they changed, he was using VMC and it got completly replaced by Citadel Colours (which i can understand at some point), but then adding sentence like "This effect could only be achieved by using xy color"

Oh and he striped the paint of marneus calgar and re-did it. They changed the sentence, that he had hidden the old modell because of the paintjob and bought a new one ....

    Guys,

thanks for all these comments - I really appreciate you taking the time to post your appreciation and encouragement - you're all a part of these projects as a result!

And now for something completely different. This is the last picture I'm going to post until Christmas, as my career is taking me away from the hobby bench for a few months. Needless to say I am nost definatly NOT sick of the hobby and I WILL be back!

My final piece is a gift for a veyr good friend, and I've been tinkering with the idea for a while. I occasionally give 'hobby' gifts when I feel the muse, but this particular friend has lively kids, so the gift had to be something which could be put out of the way - hence the photoframe idea.

I had a warhammer building kits kicking around (a remnant from an all WFB scenary planetstrike project which never got past the shrinkwrap) so decided to tinker with it. I made the backdrop about a year ago, and spent ages waiting for the right figure to fill it. Mcvey Studios released the awesome lisbeth model, and she fit right in!

What do you think of the finished article? Obviously there's no glass front in the pics, due to glare, but there is a glass piece which fits nicely in front.
