Post a pic of what you'll send!

I've seen several threads in Painting and Terrain for people's WIP War Seer Space Marines. Also some others here and there. Just because we don't have a colour scheme or badge yet, doesn't mean we can't kitbash.

I thought it would be a good idea for people to post a pic of what they plan to send in (marines, tanks, whatever it is), in a single compilation thread here on the Battle Barge. This...

a) gives the organisers a good idea of what's going to be coming in, and which people they can rely on to deliver.

b) will look cool, provide inspiration, and help satisfy my/our impatience.

So, to get the ball rolling here's Brother Selby, currently blu-tacked together (flat-bed scan in case you're wondering). The exact parts may change when I get hold of a BT sprue, and I'll probably have to, y'know, do some gluing and painting at some stage

Please post a pic of your contribution, in whatever state it may be currently. As you do more work on it just edit the pic.

As de Selby mentioned, we of the WarSeer Painting and Support Group have been organizing and building our marines in the Painting and Terrain Forum on this thread, come visit and take a look.

Good marine there de Selby, unique without going over the top.

Here's Brother Helicon, so far. Left the arms off because I don't know which squad he's going into or what he'll be armed with yet. Lots of grenades and equipment pouches, though.

[Bah, couldn't get it to appear as an image, so here's the thumbnail instead....]

Like Cpt Brown said, there's info about the WPSG squads on the P&T forum, worth a look, and he's also kindly compiled all the pictures here, for your viewing pleasure.

Also, to show images, type this (Exactly)

But that image link doesn't work anyway, which will be why it's not showing (it's treating the image as just a URL, because there is no image on the end of that link).

That image link probably contains & or $ symbols which cause the forum software to filter them out as they are potentially dangerous.

Re: Post a pic of what you'll send!

I guess I sort of missed the point in my first post,

Great going De Selby, love the model, individual and not over the top like Captain Brown said, although I've never been fond of the punk space wolves heads. Festus, looking good, maybe some paint thinning is in order (it's the only tiny tiny thing I can criticise) other then that fantastic. TWB, nice model, but if you stick with it the way it is I think the cape might need a bit of GSing arouns about it, to make it look like part of the model, rather than a botched addition (Maybe a fully GSed cloak ergo Logan Grimnar (or something) just to bulk it out).

TWB: I agree with tzeentchgiant, the cloak doesn't look right. It needs to be attached at the shoulders. I think his combi-weapon would look better with the meltagun barrel drilled out the same as the bolter.

That's my 2% of a standard monetary unit.

My WIP marine is here.

Hmm, it looks like you chose the same leg pose my termie got And I can see how you don't want me to use the lysander model now....

Here's mine, his arm fell off and I'm trying to sculp a better sculpt of the...erm.... the thingy that covers his armpit. I've also attached some more bling to him but not too much as to ruin his pose.

Thanks TG, the picure makes it look like pasty paints, but I usually thin my paints on an old tile I use as a palette.
It just looks more blotchy than in RL because the Grey basecoat is still shining through where the white is not ready yet (like on the Nartheticum/Reductor).

The cloak actually looks a lot better close up than it does in the Pic, But it is one of the details that are up for review (Thanks to my youngest son, the Power weapon, cloak and head are now . . .pending, for want of a better word ). The melta barrel has been drilled, I just took the picture first..
There will be some additional "bling" but I'm open to suggestions for the Right hand, what weapon?

A power axe of some sort would top off that same grip and power cord nicely.

Some good looking minis being shown here. I just want to start mine even more now

PD, lookign at your termie, the psoe is good, although his torso looks like it's turned far too far over to his right hand side than is possible for a human, at least judging from the angle his shoulders are implying. Maybe give hima little twist? Just some thoughts - probably talk later anyway

TWB - your captain is looking good. I can see what you mean about the cloak lookign like it might work. However if it was integrated into the armour a bit more would look ace Maybe a clasp on each shoulder pad holding the cloak or havign a cloak start at his waist like lysander. Im converting at the moment a Lysander so one side of his cloak is held in a clasp on the front of one ofhis shoulder pads - which is a different look again, for instance

My Marine Project now finally with 1750pts completed... and I'm going to put this force to bed for the time being.
My next project Khornate Gorewing - a converted all terminator Khornate warband!
Other things I have messed about with a little are Adeptus Mechanicus and a foray in to WFB with Night Goblins that are a lot harder than you'd think for an obsessive compulsive converter!
Lastly, my Photobucket Gallery
