    Call of Cthulhu

What is it?- Call of Cthulhu is a horror roleplaying game based upon the writings of Howard Phillips Lovecraft and a few others. Lovecraft wrote during the 1920s and 1930s

Type of action?- mostly mystery though some quick and brutal action can be expected

What do I need?- Some dice including a D10 if you play in IRC this will not be needed

    Where are the rules?- http://www.chaosium.com/forms/coc_quick_start_bw.pdf

where can I find a character sheet?
    http://www.chaosium.com/forms/1990s-5ed.pdf

    What era is it?
    Modern

    Where will this take place?
That depends on the people interested and the times they can play- I do have an IRC channel devouted entirely to Call of Cthulhu and the works of Lovecraft.

    IRC Channel?
#callofcthulhu on Gamesurge - if you click on the warhammer chatroom link in my signature you will reach a room called #warhammerfun also on Gamesurge if you then enter /join #callofcthulhu you will be in my vile domain.

    So what do I do?
Create a character and say what days and times you can play (also what time zone your in)

    Re: Call of Cthulhu

I have played on a couple of Lady Bastets online RPGs before and they are damn good, I can assure you. And you don't need to spend hours setting up a character beforehand, that parts pretty simple.

Check it out, what have you got to lose - except your sanity!

    Re: Call of Cthulhu

Oh wow. I haven't gotten a chance to play CoC very much and would totally be into getting in on one! My schedule's largely flexible except for Thursay and Saturday evenings (Pacific Standard Time -USA, West Coast)

Is there anything I'd need to work into character background? I believe I have a copy of the 2nd or 3rd Ed rules laying around somewhere along with a number of sourcebooks. Has anything really changed since? I've been poking around for a copy of Delta Green as I've heard it was pretty good.

    Re: Call of Cthulhu

Well I currently have a campaign going set in modern day New York, however my grand plan is to fully utilise the channel so that others can be put in control of their own campaigns.

Delta Green is simply excellent the X Files type prespective allows you to run the same characters without them literally tripping over the Cthulhu Mythos every week.
