BFG:campaign help

Hi there, for the last moth i've been running a gothic campaign. Its been going pretty well with most of the buncker i go to gettin involved. I been issueing a newsletter each week with all the goings on and random events but i now have an idea to add something extra to it and wanted some feedback.
My idea is one off games between the people in the campaign for one off unique ships that they can add to their fleet. ideas range from a nercon exterminator gun to a half imperial half necron tech ship.
What are your thought on adding these kinds of games? Any feedback would be helpful.

I'd say go for it!

It only gives the campaign more narrative, and the players incentive to build themselves some really cool ships.

seems kewl to me. i guess if everyone from the local bunker likes the idea, then go for it! you the one running it though, and i guess its your choice overall...

and might i ask... which bunker is this, as it sounds suspiciously like the gothic campaign in Bath...
