I... love you? one of the coolest bunches of models I've ever seen. Really, this stuff rocks. I'm subscribing.
This is awesome. Space wolves mating with iron hands is gross: but their babies are beautiful. Simply awe-inspiring work.
Thanks guys for all your comments and praise! I do love a unique army, and so far, every model in this army (yes even the special mail order techmarine has a sw tail charm) is converted.
Mr. Kibbles- I dont really see how fluff nazis could have a problem with the iron wolves, seeing as it is one of the great 12 companies of the space wolves. It only makes sense, iron wolves= iron hands, m i rite?
More stuff up soon, just finished up the final touches on assault squad one.
wicked work. the servitors are awesome and I think those are the first converted weremarines I actually liked
I have spent the most time on painting this squad ever. at least 5 months!! Not, interestingly enough, on the actual models you see now, but on all the other colors I painted these models (hence why they are so chunky :P ). You see, i kept coming up with color schemes I liked, but when i painted the squad, it looked like poop. This is actually the third fully finished color scheme these guys have received!!! I know, I know,I'm mad... But it looks good right? *strangled laughter* ...RIGHT?!!!!!
Anyhoo, here they are, next month, DREADNOUGHT!!!!
p.s. -Never think Its a good idea to hand paint super intricate symbols on both shoulder pads an the right knee-pad, that **** takes forever....

Just... WOW!

Wow. Another wolf player!
I like the dreadnought a lot. I need to, erm, borrow some of the elements in that for my own dread when I build it.
The werewolf jumpers are a bit ott, but hey, this is 40K after all!
Great work, keep it up.
"Blah, blah, woof, woof."
So I picked up the thunderfire a few days ago, beautiful model. Decided it would be cool to have a base for it (one i could use to move it quicker around the battlefield on, as well as for show)
The thunderfire on its base
In its magnetized pieces (so i can transport it, and play without the base, if I want it in a cranny and/or a nook.)

And for kicks, a servitor laying razor wire in front of the cannon! (I can't truly tell you if laying razor wire right in front of a artillery piece has any value, but it looks cool so shaddap :P )
Also, picked up the blackreach boxed set
The dread (magnetized weapon mount, also cut the waist for a less static pose, and repositioned the DCCW, with added piping with plasticard.)
Another CC servitor (now with backpacks!)
Now that all that converting and basing is done, painting time!!!

Well, they kinda did - you have two Techmarine builds, plus the option to Field a Master of the Forge which allows you to bring Dreads in both the Heavy and Elites FOC slots, so I'd say that's pretty Iron Hand-ish. I only have the rules though, so I wouldn't know if they'd gone further to mention the IH in the background sections of the codex.
That first squad looks gorgeous Paz, as do the servitors. So far I've been impressed by people's inclusion of the ghouls(they are, aren't they?) into their armies, both yours and the Harrowed projects.
And both aesthetically and themeatically the idea of artificer Space Wolves, makes so much sense to me
Wrong. Iron Wolf refers to a wolf that holds the moutains on its back. Nothing about technology
Not even the Iron wolves symbol http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Imag...pany_icons.png
(top right) If your gonna call them a great company at least use the right symbol
Iron priests are elite not HQ
Space Wolves are not allowed the thunderfire cannon, only on mark of the wulfen.
They are painted very nice, just not Space Wolves

he could just use the space marine dex.

Why care? Fluff narrowmindedness is the bane of creativity. They're his models, they're excellent, and fluff can go take a running jump for all I personally care. I especially like it where you say "wrong", and, dismissively "They are painted very nice, just not Space Wolves".
Man do you ever need some perspective in life.

Really great stuff! Favs are the weremarines and the servitors. Brilliant conversion work!
Well the fluff is there becasue a lot of us appreciate the story and want to work within it's confines, and I think that's all Hive mind was pointing out. But nothing's stopping Paz from running these guys as a list from the new Codex, and calling them a successor chapter of the Space Wolves. In fact that's what I thought he was doing at first :s
I will side with you that in Paz's defence, if he's going to mess with Fluff, at least his marines don't have great honking bewbs or anime faces
Hive Mind 33, notice that the link you provided said "Current great Companies". So he could say its not current, but an older company or something.

Amazing work. Love the conversions -- particularly the servitors.
And the paint job is very impressive. Dark, but vivid, too. The models seem to glow with some kind of half-light/blue-light/moonlight. Highly lupine. Very cool.

As a dedicated SW player I must inform you your fluff is somewhat off.
The sheer quality of these models far more than makes up for it however. I will have to "borrow" the Wulfen idea, and that Dreadnought is wonderful. I will be watching this very closely.
Have an Ale!
