Bringing the models around are also a major pain in the rear end for fear of breaking the fiddly mast.
QFT. Storing them is a bigger pain!

If you need tips to how to fit everything into the Dreadfleet box let me know.

Many of the masts do not fit properly into the holes on the decks (very tight fit) so do enlarge them a little, especially after painting them as paint will make the holes/pegs slightly bigger.

Re: A 40k project log (Easternheretic's Peach Blossom Isle)

My friend whom I converted this "Dagon Overlord" Hive tyrant conversion has passed me painted pictures on the completed model.

The very same friend also has a Greykngiht army, and asked me to convert his Dreadknight to closely mirror one he found on the web touting a gatling like pysilencer. Never one to turn down a fun conversion opportunity, I agreed, and the following photos are the fruits of a nights work of labor.

Next on the conversion to do list, a Dooms day monolith for the above same friend and his necron army. Apparently, there is a necron apoc data sheet out there where the is a machine called the dooms day monolith, which is supposed to be bigger then the existing model. Should be fun.

    As always, C & C is welcome.

    Cheers!

Apart from my hate for the Grey Knights, I just love your Gatling-Gun-Conversion.

Should be interesting to see what you'll come up with for the Doomsday-Monolith.

I too have a lack of love for all thing GK, but I must say I did enjoy converting this puppy up.

In regards to the doomsday monolith, I'll post some step by step if you like. He hasn't passed me the models yet though.

Unfortunately I can't post any for the Dread knight, as i totally forgot to take photos. It totally slipped my mind when the converting groove hit.

Normally I would clean up mold lines, but I'm cunningly leaving that tedious process to my friend who commissioned the conversion. Call it my lazy insidious b*stard side at work.

Re: A 40k project log (Easternheretic's Peach Blossom Isle)

I did not realize that I had not updated my previous months work, so here is double the dose. Most of it is Malifaux, as I'm still in my Malifaux craze.

I've worked n some 40K stuff, but none are done paint wise so I have not posted any in a bit.

Since it is a new year, and I have a back log of 40K piling up, I promise that I will get back to them and start posting updates.

Anyways here are some pics of stuff that I have painted.

First up are some Waldgiest from the Malifaux range of models.

Pandora a Neverborn master from Malifaux

Candy and Baby Kade, part of Pandora's crew.

Avatar Candy, part of Pandora's Avatar.

A conversion of the Lilith Avatar for Malifaux, using wires and wall putty for the tree, and a Freebooter Succubus for the female figures.

Now for some newer stuff that was done.

First up, a Lilitu and doppleganger for my Pandora crew.

And an insidious madness for my Pandora crew.

And lastly, some 40K stuff, the converted Dreadknight with Gatling psycannon with paint!

    Happy new years folks!

I love that Dreadknight. The cannon might be abit large though, but that's only a "minor" detail

You can never go wrong with huge guns on Dreadknights!

What bits did you make the left side handle + mounting of the mega-gatling gun out of?

I am urgently trying to contact any living relatives of Sam 'Jock' Wilson, KIA 10.06.44, UK army service id 2764432, from Morley, West Yorkshire, England. Served with Black Watch Regiment & No.6 Commando.

Spot on! We can never go wrong with BFG's!

The gatling gun was made from part completely from the dread knight kit and 1 extra tau bit from my bitz box. The extended barrel was made from extra plastic rods and thin plastic strips.

The handle/grips that the dreadknight is holding on to are the deamon hammer haft on the left and the power sword grip for the right. Some shortening of and the adding of other parts to the newly cut parts to hide the cut and finish of the look.

For example, after cutting off the sword blade and leaving the grip on the right hand, I then cut of that rounded bit on the hilt and glued it on the remaining grip top to hide the cut, and to make it more esthetically pleasing.

The mounting was made using the fore arm cover of the dread knight covering an extra psycannon/incinerator gun body that the kit came with, cut/trimmed to fit, and that extra tau bit that I had floating around.

I hope that helps? I'll try to get my friend to take a better shot of the gun mount if you like, so you can get a closer look.

Thanks for having a look and commenting!

    Cheers.

Re: A 40k project log (Easternheretic's Peach Blossom Isle)

My first update in a couple of months.

I've finally remembered to take a photo of the stuff I'm working on in WIP stage for this seasons Tale of Skirmish Painters Season 2.

It's most of the models I've got currently assembled and based and in various stages of paint, for the new Leveticus Malifaux crew I'm collecting.

The picture includes 2 hollow waifs, 2 rotten belles, a bete noir, molly , 4 steam punk abominations, a canine remains, Leveticus himself, a watcher and a steam punk arachnid swarm.

I've also assembled some Dire Avengers that I bought from Hastings. I post pics once I remember to take some phots of them as well!

    Cheers
