This is a Doomcannon I am also working on. The skulls have come out nicely, as has the verdigris on the copper. Of course, that is just MY oponion

And here is the crew, sadly only the red has been worked on. They are needing more highlights, which will be applied when the knight is done with his layer of highlights!

And for my Tau fans, battlesuit 1 of...many. Sorry about the lack of Tau updates, I have been really busy. Nothing significant, just hope it might pique your interest.

Please comment folks, that is why I update this thing!

Here is what I have gotten done today: the Chaos Dwarf crew. The red has been finished, as have the boots, some of the metallic bits, and the skin has a raw umber wash drying on it right now. The skin basecoat looks really nice, here is the recipe: take a glob of VMC Pale Flesh. Mix in half that amount worth of Scorched Brown, and then two small dabs Scab Red.

I gotta say, I am convinced a Chaos Dwarf army would be nothing but a good thing, if sculpted by the same person who sculpted these crew members.

The 2nd layer of green highlight has been applied to the chaos knight, and the lance blade, which I am very happy with, is finished to (too?).

And here is the chaos sorcerer. I am having a bugger of a time deciding on a color scheme for him.

I'd really like if you tried a pale blue robe on him, with some other colours spashing out of the recesses. It'd really give him a mutating overall look, which I think is only befitting for a sorcerer of Chaos!

Other projects looking good, I especially like the CD and knight.

And no I'm not a huge fan of FB Chaos Warriors

    Cheers,

Thanks! I contacted Chaospuppy, and he wants the sorcerer to have really dingy yellow robes, and dead looking skin. Here are pictures of what I have gotten done on that so far:

The skin needs work, I may just go back over it with bleached bone, then wash it with raw umber, then give it a single bleached bone highlight.

Speaking of skin, here is the crew for the Doomcannon. The skin turned out quite well, I think. I am not sold on the flames coming from the skull that the one dwarf is holding, the straight black highlight looks too harsh.

    Until next time!

that yellow clock could do with one or two spots of lighter yellow to show a hit of the original colour of the clock

Whew! It has been way to long since I last updated. I redid the Chaos Sorcerer with a black cloak, and purple skin, but gave him back to Chaospuppy before I could get pictures. I have also finished the 1st and 2nd Nurgle knights, and have started on the 3rd...I gotta find the pictures, they are somewhere on my computer...

I did a test figure for my 50 Orc Boyz unit that I am hoping to re-do over the winter. The model is painted up to look like a Red Sunz clan member, and he took me about an hour, though I am hoping to streamline the process, and be able to get 2-3 figures done in an hour, not inclduing drying tim for the wash. It's a pretty simple scheme, just a basecoat of each color, a wash all over the model, highlights on each color, then picking out small details. As you can see, he still need to have the black cloth he is wearing highlighted.

I also got most of the highlighting done on the 3rd Nurgle Kniggit(MP reference), and the shield is also coming along nicely. Not much else to say...

Re: bravey's Tau, O&G and other stuff plog.

Long time, no see. Ah well.

Before I get to the Tau/O&G stuff (and boy do I have A LOT of new Tau stuff, but not much new O&G stuff), I want to show off my latest commission. And boy, is it a big one! Aprox. 50 Empire Swordsmen, 100 Empire Halberdiers, around 30 cavalry, tons of artillery, and lots of character models! The color scheme is rather different, the customer wants deep red shirts and khaki/brown pants. The skin has turned out quite well, as have the metallic bits, considering that I am going for my basic "Tabletop" quality, meaning whatever looks good in large blocks. Uniformity here is key, so I cannot go about making custom color mixes.

    Enough blather, here are photos!
    All 50 Swordsmen, ranked up.

And the 1st 4 Swordsmen. They still need to have the stockings painted either black or a cream/bone color. I am leaning toward cream, personally, as it would add some nice visual interest.. What do you guys think? I also need to do the bases

    Please leave comments and suggestions!
