    Another update:

A pair of Special Weapons Troopers

The Flamer armed trooper's pistol came from another kit, I just figured you would want a pistol for those days when the rain is coming down and the damn Flamer won't light.

Another minor update due to work over the weekend.

Little conversion to swap a weapon on this Officer model. Plasma Pistol is gone replaced by a Bolt Pistol.

    Looks good.

While Plasma pistols are expensive these days, I don't think you should strip them all out, they DO give you some (more) anti-tank power if anything's dumb enough to get close.

Re: Captain Brown's 8th Necromunda Imperial Guard Regiment - The 'Spiders' Painting L

    Thanks guys,

Faolan I have a second officer with a Plasma Pistol still, I am still tinkering with how to use my Junior Officers and most seem to be in a grouping behind the platoon so Bolters would be the best choice, but the model has a sword and pose for a pistol, so I slipped in a Bolt pistol.

I have worked on another new Heavy Weapon Base, another Missile Launcher Team.

The trooper carrying the Missile Launcher is a little loaded down...but originally he stood alone on his own stand.

This one is in standing and firing pose (mainly because when I first built the Missile Launchers I did them on individual stands and had them standing to save on kneeling Guardsmen...so a few sand bags to hint at protection for the guys standing up.
Both are carrying the Lasguns with folding stock...which begs the question can one of the models fire a Lasgun if they move? Since it would be only one as they are now a two wound, toughness three model. Yes, the codex has Heavy Weapon's Teams armed with Lasguns in their team entry for those wondering (although not in the Squad Upgrades).

Really nice stuff, very crisp but may I suggest chucking in a few spiderweb tattoos and such?

Do the Necromundan 8th have those? I can't remember... And I'm waffling...

Once again, you outshine me. I have not posted anything in a while. I probably should be working...

Awesome update once again. How are you going to play those missile launchers? I have not been a fan of HVY weapon squads (excluding mortars which are still good) since the release of the new 'dex.

That's because we need more Plasma Cannon heavy weapon teams, mate.

Really like that last missile team, loaded down for bear. I'd love to see your take on an anti-tank veterans squad (3 Meltas, Demolitions doctrine buy)

Re: Captain Brown's 8th Necromunda Imperial Guard Regiment - The 'Spiders' Painting L

    Thank you for the replies,

Yes, the new Heavy Weapon's Teams sort of...well suck. I have noticed in my games that opposing players will fire with a single weapon with Str 6 or higher to eliminate a base and trigger a leadership test...then half the time the whole unit legs it for the table edge. My principle Tau opponent thinks it is really funny because with target lock he can fire the weapon while still hammering other targets...what’s worse, when I try to hide them behind a line of infantry my opponents have made every special cover save so far.

This time I used one of the paired backpacks from the Vehicle Accessory Sprue to add to the little barrier of sand bags.

    And the whole squad.

Treadheads rejoice, next up is the Chimera as I got some Rotting Flesh.

As for tattoos, still not sold on them as the faces of the plastic guard have so little space for anything, I might do a spider marking on the should pads.

Well if you got one of the new command kits, there's some spare helmetless heads in there that could be good canvas.

Only if I am willing to spend $30 plus tax on 5 models and bits...which I really am no longer willing to do.

Another update, another regular trooper and another Vox trooper. Again, I am using heads with a comm-link rather than the Vox Heads (speaking of which if anyone is looking for any I have a few for sale).

    Another update,

Did another Vox trooper, regular trooper and converted a Veteran Sergeant from a Storm-Bolter to a Laspistol.

I guess I should start some group shots.

I have no idea...perhaps he lost it...or perhaps it is in the belly of one of my regular opponents soldiers/warriors.

    Another update,

A few more troopers finished one in the process of reloading.

Looks like the trooper on the left has also taken a shot to the shoulder armour...and yes he is missing his knife as well.

Re: Captain Brown's 8th Necromunda Imperial Guard Regiment - The 'Spiders' Painting L

Also did up another Heavy Weapons Team, this one a Heavy Bolter. Following my theme of doing at least one different pose this one used some other bits from multiple kits to create a prone Trooper firing the Heavy Bolter.

I am thinking of doing up a pair of Heavy Bolters to add one to a squad in some of the Tacticals…then when I combine a few squads together they are going to have the added firepower of a Heavy Bolter…rather than making a fairly short ranged anti-infantry Heavy Weapons Section that will draw fire like honey draws bears.

Not going to be any updates other than answering questions for the next month, going to be on the road and won't get any painting done.

Very, very nice. I love how the paint scheme really brings the newer models in line with the old pics and fluff. That base picture has been one of my favorites since RT days and I think you really captured the feeling in your models. I'm going to keep watching this one.
