Thanks for the offer, but I am making due with what I have...almost done now. Track Guards are the one area I am light on as so many of my tanks were from before the change in the vehicle sprue.

Thanks for the comment...not certain I want to know the details of Faolan and Colonel Jacka’s possible relationship...I believe that discussions of that nature are banned on the forums...that and I think each is already taken.

Well I decided after finishing the Chimera and taking a picture of all the tanks I should take a whole army shot.



There are nine Chimeras, two Hydras, two Basilisks, three Sentinels, a Leman Russ, a Hellhound, eleven infantry squads, five command sections, two command HQs, a Veteran Squad, an Ogryn Squad, a Ratling Sniper Squad, a Storm Trooper Squad, a Tech Priest and Servitors.

Looks like I will have the army done just in time for a new rules set...or maybe not as I do have one Hellhound, one Vendetta, nineteen Veterans, four Advisors, perhaps a few more Heavy Weapons Teams...yes getting done might be a challenge.

I started a few special weapons for my next Veteran Squad:



So while I have a great long list of things that need to get done, I went back and finished the last Multi Laser for the third Sentinel.



That is the problem with painting Imperial Guard...there is always so much to do.

PS: Sentinel #1 had a small accident and fell off the shelf prior to getting stowed and snapped off at the join to the feet...so some more repair work is required.

Another update as I finished another Heavy Weapon Team...this one was pretty much standard, no fancy converting or anything. Ironically it is a Lascannon (something you don't see much anymore - while back in RT days it was all you got in Tactical Squads unless you swapped with for a Conversion Beamer).




Needed to get back to my roots and do some infantry instead of tanks.

OK, I have been off reading the new rules and rather than change much I think I will keep going with the army I have...not too fussed about the Skyfire for the Hydras or the fact that Shotguns are still different for Marines...which leads me to my next update:




My second veterans squad is coming along now with a couple more Vets painted up. These models used some Catachan Heads and my putty forage caps...I even added some facial tattoos.

OK, my highlights do look a little faint on the leather don't they?

Another two Veterans completed...they have the same issue as the last two...so they might get another highlight or two on their belts, puttees and packs.






I gave one of them the Vox unit to help with those "Bring It Down" Orders. Like the previous pair they are festooned with grenades...looking forward to the first time I can use them under the new edition rules.

I wasn't really referring to highlights, CB. You know how leather looks as it ages and distresses, and some patches will darken while others will lighten, giving more of a doe-hide look to them?

I will do some when I get the whole squad finished...some vertical stress marks on the belts and putees would probably add to the theme.

Here are the next three, these were made with some Cadian Upgrade helmets and one with another Forage Cap added as well as a Demo Charge.
