gorgeous love the scheme it is very simple but pretty, how do you do it, white is so hard to paint.

    ice8514: cheers, lol

MINION: If i knew how hard white was to paint prior to painting these guys I wouldn't have used it. But to answer your question - patience and up to 5 coats of white... most of which are heavily watered down to try and keep it smooth.

Hmmm, been a while since I posted on here. Well a tournament has come up and is in 2 weeks, fotunately for me I have an army that is fully painted - unfortunately I have decided to change the list and have to paint heaps.

    Autarch
    - Shining spear, Jetbike, Meltagun
    Eldrad

    Banshees
    - Waveserpent
    Firedragons
    - Waveserpent

    Dire Avengers
    - Waveserpent
    Dire Avengers
    - Waveserpent
    Jetbikes

    Shining Spears

    Walkers x 3
    Walkers x 3
    Wraithlord or Fireprism...

Fireprism fits with the list better but I'll get some pics up of my new Wraithlord and you'll see why I want to put it in!!

    Hey there!
All three of them look really great. I really like the pose of the wraithlord.
Are you going to paint the visor of the walker?

Very nice army. I like your limited pallet of colors as well as contrast between minis painted with cool tones and warm colored bases. Keep it up

I really like that Fire Dragon Exarch! I think you found a perfect balance with the colours on him. High marks for everything, but that one stands out for me along with the swords.

    Re: Yuriels Ghosts

Thanks for all the nice comments guys - when it takes a few hours a model you really need some motivation. Ostling yeah I will be painting them eventually, I just needed them up to tournament standard first.

Well the list below competed in a tournament over the weekend. It was interesting to play with and everything worked well together, a nice balance of anti tank/MEQ/infantry and CC/Shooting (I think it works out there were 110 ST4, 60 ST6 and 10 ST8 shots per turn), I don't care who you are that starts hurting. It was incredibly fast and surprisingly durable - not something I'm used to from my eldar.

Anyways most games started with me deploying my entire army in reserves and using the high speed of the army + outflank to focus on weak points. Autarch grants +1 to reserve rolls.

In the end walked away with 2nd out of 34 overall (4 wins and a draw) I also managed to get a win over the 1st, 3rd and 4th overall players. The army ended up being in the running for best painted which is always nice and I had 5 enjoyable and hard fought games - a great weekend overall.

    Autarch
    - Laser Lance, Jetbike, Meltagun
    Eldrad

    Banshees x 8
    - Waveserpent (SCs)
    Firedragons x 8
    - Waveserpent (SCs)
    Dire Avengers x 8
    - Waveserpent (SCs)
    Dire Avengers x 8
    - Waveserpent (SCs)
    Jetbikes x 6
    Shining Spears x 4
    Walkers w Shuriken Cannons x 3
    Walkers w Scatter Lasers x 2
    Wraithlord (BL/SW/FL)

I would have to say the most valuable units are the Autarch, who managed to pop at least 12 vehicles and wipe out multiple squads on the charge in combination with the shining spears. The walkers whose shooting in combination with outflank popped at least 10 vehicles a couple even in assault (hahaha), and as mentioned managed to tie nasty shooty units in assault. The other surprise was the firedragons who took down multiple MCs, tanks and even entire space marine squads.

    Cheers,

    Rich
