Help on Marine Army

I am planning on making a marine army. I had some before, but I didn't like how they turned out, and not there are alot more goodies. Ok, so I have a basic color scheme that I like, black armor, with gold and silver details and trim. What I would like is name ideas, and chapter symbol ideas. Now what I have as ideas are: I would like them to be merceneries allmost. What I mean is I would like them to be "hired" to go and kill "whatever" or get an item from "whatever" army. I am almost thinking of incurporating skulls, either as trophies or in their armor. And for the chapter symbol, I am thinking of either something like my avatar, the biohazard symbol, or a dragon, dragon skull or iguanas or something. And if you cannot tell I would also like to somehow encorperate all of that also into their name. So, think anyone can give some ideas, or anything that might help.

Black with gold and silver trims and details are the trademarks of high ranking marines of the chapter Sons Of Pain.

And Chapter Master Gormag Harkrot didn't loose his arm just so someone could steal the colour scheme of the Sons Of Pain.

If I were you station them far away from the south west of the galaxy. Far FAR away.

And don't make the chapter symbol a skull, because then not even being far far away from the Sons Of Pain will save you from their wrath.

Also, I can't see Imperial Marines being mercenaries, because then the Imperium wouldn't have control over them and the Inquisition would kill them. And the AdMech would refuse to train their marines and refuse to supply them with armour. So, they'll have to be rebels. And if not, the Inquisition will class them as rebels.

wella I wouldn't have them be complete mercenaries. They would work only for the imperium. I mean, I am not so sure on all of this, well all but the colors... I think.. I want them to be like the guys from Doom, but maybe I shouldn't have missed the first 5 minutes? I thought they were sorta like a typle of mercs, but they worked for this company, and they did different stuff for them? Well, maybe I am just want them to "pick and choose" what they do, but I guess thats what the chapter masters do anyway.. So maybe I don't want to to make it too special. But one thing I know, is I am going to have them use alot of Plasma Weaponry, and make the effects like that "BFG" from the movie, because.... DAMN.... that gun rocked!

...um...yeah...i dont think space marines would be the best doom type army. but if you mean like the movie..yeah i guess but if you want true doom, the games, then id think IG would be better

no, I don't want a true doom army. I just mainly like that friken gun and how it melted/disolved walls. Its how I pictured a plasma weapon. Oh, and what do you guys think of a dragon or T-Rex skull as their army symbol? I know TheSonOfAbbadon doesn't want me to use a skull, but I assume he meant human! :P anyway, I am just blowing out a few ideas, and am am still partly unsure of their color scheme.
