    Mercutius Night Lords

    Hello!

Ok, I don't think that I can give anything realy new to the community here, but why then a new since fiction project log you ask me?
It's primerly for me, so that I can get some more and new motivation and inspiration to go on with my Night Lords. Theres to much unpaintet on my shelf and I hope this will help me to finish my minis and also to improve my painting an modelling skills.

I think that some of my minis I showed already here in various threads, but here I can hold them all together.

So I will show not only the 'show cases' of my army, I will also show the older, bad ones.

I start with my actual general.

Ah, and commends are very welcome! :-)

In the fantasy project logs I also startet a thread about my warriors of chaos, if you are interestet, here they are:

Nice! I like the blue and bronze combo and that he looks like he needs a good few hours in the Sun. Blue trim on a base is unusual but fits with your colour scheme however, it might look a bit too much with loads of figs...not sure though.

I'm not sure, but I think that somewhre there must be a picture of the whole army, all with blue bases. I post that one when I found it again :-). If not, I take a new one :-).

Ok, and another one of the better paintet, my Ahriman, but still with the old base colour:

Nice job on Ahriman, I really like the colors.

The black, blue, and bronze really go well together.

    Keep up the good work.

    Re: Mercutius Night Lords

@all posters here: Thank you very much, I can see that my motivation to paint again a little more is raising again! :-)

The next two are my Land Raider and the Rhino. They differ in many ways. The Land Raider is by now the most complicatet rebuild I have done. And it is quite old, as you can see in the painting. I buyed the kit when it came out first from GW as a loyalist one and I changed it into this chaos version. At that point there where now parts from Forge World available so the doors are even my owne creation.
So wherese the expenditure? First, The doors and the sidesponsons are interchangabel because of magnets. Nowadays this is nothing special, but when the kit was new, even the idea with the magnets was new. So sometimes I put the sponsons into the front position and sometimes into the back ones. Please notice the different position in the photos! But the most work were all the 'chaos' stripes on every edge of the kit! They are all made from plastic card and were realy on every edge! (will make some additional
    photos).
The Rhino on the other hand has a little more painting on it (when I have the time, perhaps someday I repaint the land raider to my nowaday standard, who knows ), but is not that heavy modificatet. I used everything forge world offer and of course, a normal rhino was not enough for me, so I widend the chassis to give it a mor 'bulky' look. For that I put between the track-sections and the middle parts on every side 2.5mm stripes. So in the end the modell is 5mm more wide than a normal one. Of course you can only see that clear when it stands beside a 'ormal' one.

Very nice, love the Dreadclaw pod, the lightning details are great. How do you do them, any chance of a tutorial? Thinking they might be useful for other applications.
Keep it up and also im subscirbed

    Re: Mercutius Night Lords

@Lord Zso Sahaal: of course, I would write an tuttorial about anything of my painting you are interestet in, but at the moment I don't know exactly what you mean when you talk about the 'the lightning details'. What do you mean with that? When I understood this, I write an tuttorial. But let me make one point clear: I'm not an native speaker, so I don't know if I can make all things clear the, but I will try :-).

Ok, actual I wanted to show you some of the bad minnis of my army, the old ones, but I have no pictures of them. Instead of that then I came up with the best my army has to offer and the best I painted till now IMO.

At the moment just an overall view, I post details abaout the bad ass later this day.
