Haha, I know what it is like to never get any comments! Is the varnish archival? Because if it isnt, your figures will yellow over time.

    Look what arrived today

Also waiting for a couple of Sentinels to arrive, the plan is to get my gaming group familiar with my infantry guard before springing a trap on them and rolling over them with heavy tanks and Platoon spam.

    It'll be great

    Leman Russ ready for painting

2 of them have Sponsons, stick on with magnets and reinforced by small pins that slot in to the side of the Russ.

Shortened Demolisher barrel on one and the others have Battlecannons

Nice! I really like the way they weapons are modular, I am trying to figure out how to do that on my Crisis suits.

The Hydra is pretty sweet, if only for the sheer amount of dakka the Valhallans look good, they look like they've been through some fights, which is good, not too keen on parade ground levels on front line troops.

Sorry to disapoint but its actually a tank from Ironclad Miniatures all I've done was to stick some Empire parts to it

My efforts towards making modular tanks continue, this is a wip of my newest Hydra

It actually look a lot better than my old one, I may have to rebuild that as a result.

Empire and guard My armies of choice too..

Looking good mate! I wish i had your appetite for painting. I am infinatly slower and struggle for motivation! Hopefully your progress will push me to get my own done.

I am really liking your efforts in tring to make halberdiers out of militia. One suggestion.. might you want to try thicker rod for the weapon shafts? I know the GW ones are thick, but yours are also too thin i think.

I look forward to seeing them all ranked up and "horde-like"

I've pretty much using the dregs of my bitz box for the militia/halberdiers, anything to try and dredge up enough to get up to 20 halberds together for Thurdsay games night. 8th has really shaken up my usual army list

In that vein, I'm currently waiting for a box of the Perry brothers Halberds/Archers and some Warlord Curiassers (Pistoliers are going to be amazing again, yay!)

    Re: Chirons p-log of miscellany

Ok, those guys are painted up. I cant say I'm very proud of them but they do mean I have enough Halberdiers to run a unit now

I'm hoping that my new Pistoliers will turn out ok (Warlord Games Curiassiers)

And after those guys are done, it'll be time to go to work on the Perry models

Wow, that stream tank looks awesomely industrial, fits right in with the imperial theme. Of course, the real reason I'm commenting is the Rincewind, a fantastic model!

Warlord Curiassiers are finished, I've also managed to finish off a few more Valhallan weapon teams but cannae be arsed taking pictures of those, you've all seen my Valhallans before and they're much the same

Think I'll work on the Perry WotR figures next

Modelzone opened up in the centre of Birmingham recently, I couldnt resist this Tank Destroyer (Su 100) as it was going cheap

I think it compares quite well with the Russ, good enough for a Vanquisher or similar
