    It's time to say goodbye

I have finished my necron army

    http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...cronsdone2.jpg

I'm now going to paint 1 missile launcher for my Deathwing, then I shall be selling all my paints and going back to art as a hobby.

I'd love to carry on, but I haven't drawn anything in nearly a whole year now.

I'm afraid it's coming down to time, money and the battle against other leisure time pursuits.

Another big problem I'm experiencing is that since playing at Central London Wargames Club, the only army lists I can come up with are either:
    1) cheezy
    2) repetitive
    3) dull
    4) 3+ save

I've been playing games with some AMAZING guys who always do well at the UK GW Tournies.

While competitive play is great fun, my armies are becoming boring.
However, their armies are usually very characterful, with a good mix of units. Except, it's not like I can just copy one of their army lists.

The Deathwing usually get owned or manage to scrape a draw or minor win.
The necrons tend to fair better.

My next choice would have been an all-infiltrating chaos marine army with MAXIMUM PLASMA, but it's bland. Oh so bland.
Oh, it's 3+ save as well. *sigh*

    Heh heh.
Yeah, we did comment on the fact that they are either anorexically skinny or overweight. Weird.

Re: It's time to say goodbye

hey darkseer, stay true! i been in this game for 10 years, though not for a continuous period, in about 2002 i became so annoyed with GW that i did sell EVERYTHING i had including most of my books and stuff, which made it really damn annoying when, a year and a half later i decided to get back into it.

dont make the mistake i made, it could end up costig you a hell of a lot!

Re: It's time to say goodbye

Yay, why sell anything, armies always need to be touched up, I would hate for your deathwing to look tarnished.

meh we all go through periods of question, just take a break, draw some things and then make that chaos army in a year or 3.

dont sell paints and such, they are $ and you will need them, and you know it

Darkseer I agree with you. I want to play 40k, but every army I want to play is just another 3+ save army. I don't like any of the others. Also, the local 40k players are always so competitive with their lists, while the Fantasy players seem to take more balanced lists. It's like I just can't figure out a way to still enjoy it. I feel like 40k is just a lost cause.
