I read somewhere that the Aradnia Merovingians include Belgian troops, is there any official fluff confirming this? Might be the last push I need towards choosing a faction since our local gaming group has decided to start Infinity.

I believe so. I just read over the part about Ariadna last night in the main rule book and it stated Benelux, Austria, Italy, and Germany I think are in there with the French.

I was wondering if the Merovingian starter set is a good deal and a good combination to start with?
How does it compare to other starters power-wise and is there a power gap within infinity where one faction just outshines others, or is it fairly balanced overall?

Exceptionally well-balanced.

The starter packs are samplers for each faction and sub-faction rather than being balanced with each other, in points they vary from 110 to about 180. The Merovingian one is fine as a starting point.

Metro HMG is my dream come true! I'm getting two! I really like the Assassin's Creed look. Seriously, I did proxy him on my Metro team the last time I played and he took the link team to the next level.

I'm not sure about this whole "coat tails" thing that seems to be porting over from Anima Tactics. The Riot Gurl is sweet, but I find it really interesting the lack of a carapice on the armor, so does that mean it is like a low armor value boost-suit?

I like the first Riot Grrl mini overall but the "nipples" are really uncalled for and always look silly on armour. Really happy that it's not a fully armoured model. I do hope though that they won't make Nomads the "shoddy looking" faction. Just stick to making really really pretty, feminine and clean light and medium infantry.

I'm feeling the same sentiment. When I look at her torso I see a face with the nips being the eyes, the thing down the center her nose, and this unhappy face bgoing down from her midline to her hips. I can't unsee it now.

Not confirmed yet (the book), June/July news Shaskiin Shasavstii and Riot Grrrrrls from the near new book, today Stats will be public. And the new book is expected to go at same time than GENCON, then means July/August; August/September, very very near.

Neither. It's a name for link teams, but it's far from new. The heading for the link team rules (on page 142 of Human Sphere) is "Infinity Fireteams: Link troops"

i've bought the military orders box, it's 135 points. would adding joan of arc be a good idea to up it to 200 pts or should i go for hospitallers?
i was also wondering, is it impossible to "legally" combine a cutter with an order army?

If you're fielding it as a Military Orders sectorial force, no; the Cutter isn't allowed in that list.

However, you can field the models in the Military Orders box as part of a normal PanOceania army, in which case you can also field a Cutter. In that case, the Order Sergeants will only be AVA 2, so you can't take all four, and you can't use the Link Team rules.

i do have a question about the link team : with the military order sergeants they don't seem to have the link rule or am i mistaking?
