Have a look at my plogs and comment: Malifaux (new sept 2012)
Infinity Military orders (new sept 2012)
Started NIDS
Imperial forces plog (IG+ GK +salamanders+ravenguard+space wolves+white scars)
Dark Elves plog
Tau plog
Eldar plog
Well, it is a good list, but you're not making full use of your SWC. I'd be looking at least to add a Spitfire to one of the Order Sergeants.
EDIT - Not least because the miniature is unbelievably cool.

Ok, thanks for pointing that out, i have the military order box, i'll buy the joan of arc2.0, hospitallerknight, spitfire ordo sergeant and the magister knights box. I hope this will provide me enough models to fill up to 300 pts. Any othe advice? Is the named hospitaller a good buy?
If i'm correct i need to aim for 10 orders and max swc in a list?

The MO players around me say he's (De Fersen, the "named" Hospitaller) a good buy.
He's a hacker (BTS-6), in HI, with a SPITFIRE (not a combi-rifle like most other hackers) who can also be your starting Lt.
10 orders at 250-300 is a good target to aim for. You don't want to hamstring yourself with a shortage of orders considering that Ariadna is capable of doing 27 or so models at 300 (3 order groups, 27 orders - which means 27 potential AROS, also) and Haqqislam can also bring the pain of a lot of models (and at least one sectorial can run both a link-team (5 man) and a haris team (3 man) and still put out another 10 or so models.

I am the guy who thought the LoTR movies were crap and liked Judge Dredd.
thank you !
i've decided on which models i'll get besides the MO starters kit, i hope these will provide me with enough to vary my lists a bit , in total i'll have:
joan of arc 2.0
Hospitaller Knight Father-Officer Gabriele De Fersen
2* magister knight Ap ccw,panzerfaust
magister knight light shotgun, panzerfaust
magister knight missile launcher
magister knight panzerfaust
teutonic knight combi rifle, panzerfaust
teutonic knight spitfire
3* ordo sergeant, combirifle
ordo sergeant, sniperrifle
ordo sergeant, spitfire
knight hospitaller, multirifle
will this suffice?
also if i want to include a cutter, how do i need to change my list and is it advisable?

That looks like a winner. The teutonic knight with the spitfire is a great choice. They are really survivable.

Your list doesn't matter all that much. Get what models you like the most. They're basically all good.
Now, about the campaign book: Does anybody have a written list of things that are in that book? CB's website gives me three paragraphs of text that all day "you get a free miniature with this 40€ book" but NOTHING about the book itself. Looking at Beasts of War, there's only a 24 minutes video and I hate that. To me, BoW is next to useless despite the production value and whatnot. I don't have the time or inclination to watch an ENDLESS video while looking at a text version about ANYTHING they cover goes much faster (same with pictures of miniatures versus videos of them). Videos are cute and fun and in certain cases useful but so very often such a waste of time. That goes double for anything that's a teaser or a trailer of any sort.
Sorry for the slight rant. :S

It's scenarios, a campaign system with an experience/advancement system, some new units (we've seen a few of them over the last few months), a whole new alien race and possibly a Sectoral army for ALEPH.
Thanks a lot, AndrewGPaul. Not too wild about aliens but the scenrarios, campaign and experience systems sounds great.
I feel your pain sigur, but Bostria/Carlos the Infinity guy did say that they are holding some things back on the spoilers so that those who are first-adopters and are getting the book won't feel gipped.
I'm probably pre-ordering mine this weekend. I'm having Super Dungeon Explorer vibes on this book. In this massive thread there are a ton of comments from Mordheim & Necro players saying that they would jump-in when missions & campaigns become available. I could be wrong but I'm not taking a chance.![]()

Missions/scenarios are something that as of yet always felt strangely apsent from Infinity. Skirmish games with points values and no real mission objectives always feel much more like a sporting event than a battle (or skirmish).
I'll hold out on ordering for now. Instead I got a Riot Grrl.![]()

For those in UK an Europe, Arcane Miniatures are offering the mini with the book on pre orders and you don't need to lose a limb to pay the postage.
A n00b question. I see that Micro Arts Studios do tokens and templates, which ones are really really useful to have as opposed to just nice to have?
Well, it depends on your army. Orders are always useful, as are wounds and prone markers. If you have camo, TO camo, linked teams, e/maulers, impersonators or suchlike in your army, then they're useful. If not, then not so much...

Hi all,
I'd never even heard of infinity before this afternoon. As a long time GW gamer, I'm intrigued by the models, and by the free rules online.
I have a couple of questions that u hoped the community could help me with.
1). Are all the rules needed to play free?
2) how long does the average battle take?
3). What purchases would get a guy started? Are the online sample armies realistic?
4). How does it play? You know, in terms of "feel" (. Very general question here)
Thanks very much.
If you want to PM me, that's great too.
