    Re: Building the medieval city

Would it be possible to have seperate internal panels and fittings? that way people could choose not to have internal detailing if they dont want, or very basic detailing. And if they wish for more detail they could order a seperate wall/panel/floor and or furniture thats in sets (like the tombstones/graveyard) that allows them to place things where they wish and even remove/move whilst playing.

The Blacksmith's Forge was finished yesterday. Now we have to make molds of it. Hopefully it will be released by the end of the next week.

We like all of your suggestions but we decided that our next few projects will slightly differ from what we've done so far. We'll make series of more simple buildings that will be much more affordable to gamers and hobbyists. When we say more simple, we don't mean that it will be less detailed, the level of details will be on the same level if not even better. What we mean is, these buildings have to be designed in a way that they allow fast casting and remolding. That is the only way to significantly lower the price of the models. These models will have interior but it won't be fully modeled. We find that modeled interior is not of big importance to most of the gamers and in the same time, it is what makes the buildings hard to cast and remold thus more expensive. We are aiming for worldwide distribution with these products 'cause we will finally be able to offer good enough margin to distributors and retailers.

However, in the future we do plan to continue with more complex and exclusive buildings with multiple parts as well - buildings like Ruined Coaching Inn. These buildings will be available exclusively through our webshop.
    This sounds good.
Diversity can be a way to survive in a worldwide economy world.
Two different series for different budgets. I think it's smart.
I'll buy them all, I suppose! I'm a TTW addict!

And I've got a idea for this new serie: why won't you create some bridges, too? Beautiful bridges are hard to find... just a suggestion!

I fully applaud your decision to go for simpler, quicker and (also very important) cheaper buildings.
I think that your special, more expensive buildings will be all the more special when they are surrounded by "commoner's housing".

Things can only stand out when there is something to stand out from, so to speak. I very much look forward to your plans. Even if you would only release one cheap building, in bulk that would probably still make a mighty impressive town to look at.

Also, even though I haven't bought anything from you guys in a while, I still very much appreciate what you do and how you stay in touch with your customers. I know from personal experience that you really listen to your customers and I think that is a wonderful thing. Also, worldwide distribution will make it so much easier to get a hold of your products.

Very much looking forward to it!

There will be interior in a sense that you will be able to open buildings and place your models inside but it won't be modeled, it will be plain. Of course you will always have an option to make the interior details by your self. You can also use our accessories kits like furniture and supplies for interior details. We will probably do another furniture set pretty soon. Also, we are thinking about making different texture layers like wood, stone etc. which you will be able to buy separately and use to enhance the interior.

Bridges sound great. I think it will be very exiting to make a medieval stone bridge.

Thanks for the clarification. It is certainly a good idea, and even if you don't do optional interior modelling for them it is not hard to slap in a bit of balsawood for window/door framee, a little textured paint on the walls and some icecream stick floorboards. If you do any two stor buildings like this though, please leave a hole for stairs and whatnot. Having to carve out a great chunk of resin to put in stairs is a real pain.

    Re: Building the medieval city

quick question, sorry i couldnt find it but why did you stop producing the old models such as the ruined Coaching Inn, Medieval Inn and such? While I think the new style of builds are stunning I prefer the older right angles and straight sections as opposed to the bowed areas on things such as rooves.

Please make an intact, non-ruined version of the Coaching Inn as well, to go along with the rest of the intact medieval buildings!

I agree! I would love to see a large Coaching Inn to add to my collection and the ruined one is a great template to base a new one off of.

With the new "Simple Design" you are anouncing in your uncoming line, it would be really neat to see some options to add "business" flair to a building as well. You could add an oven, table with baking, and some window treatment options to make a bakery. Or a chair w/restraints, a shelf of bottles, and a table of medical tools (with some leaches of course!) to create an apothocary. I really like the ability to add character to a building by giving it individuality.

Finally, I think you guys would do a great job of creating a farm setting with barn, hen house, pig sty, and a garden (and some equipment like a horse-drawn plow and hay cart!)

    Keep up the amazing work!

Unfortunately, most of our older buildings had to go when we acquired new vacuum casting machine. Our casting technique has changed, making our old molds useless.

We agree and plan to do it in the future.

    Okay, I see.
    Well...
    Where is my bank card?
    Oh, right. Here.
The price... what's the price? Oh, what is the problem? Whatever the price I'll buy it for sure.
My wife will be desperate! But happy when it will be painted and on her game table.
    So... let's go!

    Re: Building the medieval city

Yep, well done fellas, another slice of awesome.

I've got the original Blacksmith's Forge so figured I could pass on this new one. Nope. It's sufficiently different enough to the original and won't look like a duplicate building on my board.

    Thanks (I think )
