No answer on the blacksmith's forge? Should I be worried? I hope there is no problem for TTW ;-)

    Hello,

I would like to know when the guard tower will be back?
I really wish to buy her but it has been already 4 months since she is unavailable.

    Thank you in advance.

I personally would find this very sad, now the range of different buildings is finally getting bigger.
I'm a bit curious (and worried) about this as well. As much as I like the best choice range, the earlier buildings feel more elaborate and unique, so I definitely think they still have their place in the range.
And as others have said, I really hope the blacksmiths forge and the watchtower will become available again... It's been a long time since they were...

    Hello guys,

It is nice to see that you love our older multi-part models, we love them too. But you have to understand that we are running business and we sometimes have to make moves that are not very popular. Multi-part models simply don't pay-off for us. It is way to much work with every single model and it is impossible to start with world-wide distribution with such models, and making our models available in stores world-wide is our main goal at the moment.
Models that are currently unavailable will be replaced with new editions, but as promised, we are going to make them available for some period of time so you guys can buy them. You will be informed when they get available.
As we said before, new models are designed in a way that is much more user-friendly, more simple to use and much more affordable. However, this does not mean that they are less detailed, quite contrary, the textures and details of our new models are more elaborated then ever.
Besides working on the new Merchant's Shop, we are currently multiplying our new models and making professionally designed boxes so we can start working with retailers and distributors world-wide.
We hope you understand our position.

    Cheers!

Thank you to clear things out so quickly. I'm glad to hear you are apparently doing very well, and I guess I would probably do the same. Without a doubt the texture details from the best choice buildings are as good as the other ones, but I'm a bit afraid that the best choice range will look a little more 'simplistic', and therefore loose some of the fantasy look with complex structures, curved roofs etc. which I like so much. I hope the new shop will prove me wrong. As long as you don't hire employees to sculpt the buildings for you...
Maybe it's a good idea to keep the older versions for sale for some more weeks after (pictures of) the new ones are available, so short-term buyers can decide which version they would like to purchase.

Good. Let me know when the forge comes out. I don't plan on missing this one.

Thanks for the quick explanation, much appreciated! Though it saddens me somewhat to lose the multi-part models, I can understand your point of view perfectly. And getting the forge and watchtower back, even if it is just for a short while, would at least give me the chance to order them at that point, which would be great.

    Re: Building the medieval city

I have to agree with Tabletop World,

I own their Merchant´s House, Timbered House as well as the new line Windmill, Town House and Cottage.

The new easier and cheaper buildings are as detailed as the bigger ones and the assembly is excellent, and for their price they simply blow off any competition.
I can definitely recommend the new line to everyone, the older ones like the merchant and timbered are a bit of pain to assembly and doesn´t look as nice as the new ones.

Cant wait for the redesigned model

Yes, as nice as the old models look they are quite the pain to assemble....the new models have the best of both world, good details and much easier assembly.

    Okay.
Tell him I saw some changes in his style... It looks a little bit cleaner.
This has always been well painted but last ones are... well... last ones looks better for me...

Oh... and your last answers make me proud of all my purchases. If you decide to change your range, I'll have both of the two ranges on my game table in the future. Nice prospect!
You'll get news from me at the buying of the new Merchant's Shop, I'm sure.
    See ya!

    Waiting for the day...

actually, for both days - the day the blacksmith comes back into the shop (I just hope I do not miss it then) and the day the new buildings show up.

I have assembled a few of the older models, including the second (larger) watch tower. They assemble beautifully.
