Welcome!

This is my second foray into a running Project Log. The first featured the very beginnings of my Fourth (read: Imperial Guard) 40K army, and I didn't keep up with it.
This log, is updated frequently (at least twice a week, unless I'm busy, or forgetful, or lazy )

I've always wanted a running log of my progress. Not so much that I want to speed paint, but so much that I can see real progress.
With some encouragement from my friend, Ganymene (who has an excellent Eldar log here), I decided to finally get one up and running!

That being said, here's some basic info:
- I play Ultramarines, Orks, and Imperial Guard
- I have a n'ere used High Elf army routinely collecting dust that I must get back into..
- I have no pets, so no pictures of them



This is my "Official" workspace. I say that only because I originally cleared this table off for all things modeling/painting related


More often than not I will be sitting at this tiny table painting!

The new battlewagon gun mount is perfect for the top of that falcon. The tiny gun will have to do until I can fashion a larger gun for the BOOMgun.

I might hang a banner between the front prongs of the falcon with some sort of Anti-Pansy phraseology. Got any suggestions besides "DIE PANSIES!!"??

One last quick glimpse at a project down the pipe: An Ork Submersible for Apocalypse!

Step 1: Find an old Micro Machines Army Sub playset
Step 2: ???
Step 3: Profit!



Note the boy for scale. I've got a ton of Plasticard, and plan on removing the rear propeller portion and extending the sub a bit. Hopefully I'll get started on that later this week.

Thanks. If they weren't so damned expensive I'd love to do a looted titan...but, yea...

I have a few ideas for deck guns and such. The sub will pretty much just be a framework for the Submersible, so I dunno how much of the original model will be visible.

I still have a good portion of the army bases and such. Ever have the tank that transformed into a mobile base? I do..and that will probably be built into a Skullhamma or some other big Ork vehicle.

Those brush/bush effects look really good on the base of that Kan. Good call.

I figure I'll need one more box of Nobs in order to get all the configurations that I want for the two units I eventually contemplate fielding. Boo to only having one kombi-skorcha on the sprues.

Anyways, those bushes will play prominently on the Snikrot model base, and I'll definitely be picking up a Battlefield Accessories kit sometime soon to start on the "sneaky" kommandos.

Quick update.

No new pictures as of yet, haven't had a chance to go get some new batteries for the camera.

I have been working on painting the following:
- The other 4 nobs I recently acquired
- Snikrot
- Weirdboy

I also started initial work on the Ork Submersible, and armor plating and restructuring is coming along nicely. Will post pictures in the next few days.
I can't decide what to name the sub. At the moment, current front runner is "Da Red Orktober"

Main reason for the update is this. I recently saw Death Race, and after a few minutes realized that the filmmakers MUST play Orks, as every vehicle in that movie is a kitbashed work of art.
I found some inspiration in the movie...



Slight sneak peak of something coming down the pipe rather soon...just need to pick me up another Battlewagon for the parts.
Anyone who has seen the movie knows exactly what I have in mind...Muahahahahaha....
