At my LGS, I am organizing "A Tale of Many Gamers". We all have spending limits each month, and certain objectives. The three people with the most points at the end win a prize.
We finished our first round. I painted up 5 Mounted Marauders, 20 "Marauders" (using the Empire Flagellants), a Warshrine, A Sorceror, and 2 Spawn.
Round 2 has me painting 15 Warriors and 5 Knights. Will post those soon.

This is a great looking plog so far. Love your Warshrine and the Horsemen in particular. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the Warriors and Knights.

Cypher - I didn't intend for it to be Vilitch, but now that you mention it, that could work! It does look like him. Maybe I should sculpt a little homonculous on his back?
Heinrich - The snow is not too hard. It's Gale Force 9 snow mixed with Artist's Matte Gel Medium from just about any art store. I put down a coat of Deneb Stone on the base to get it white, then slather a 50/50 mix of the snow and gel on, and then sprinkle snow on top of that.
I've got the Warriors done except for the bases, and I have 11 more days to finish the Knights... I'm going to be scrambling to meet that deadline. Will post again as soon as I get the Warriors based up.
nice theme on the army. looks more wretched/evil than most chaos armies. keep it up!
Finished Round 2. Here's a shot of the whole army as of right now and a shot of the 15 warriors. I am also included some extra credit "captured banners" / objective markers. Will post the knights and more shots of the warriors a bit later. Your thoughts more than welcome!
Oh this is goood, this looks really good. One more character and you should be looking at a 1k army without any major problem. My one gripe would be you fielding the Warriros five wide in a unit of fifteen, twelve warrirors with a frontage of six would get one less CR but be able to buy a Warbanner AND leave more points for the army still.
I love the realism on them, whatever realism can be applied, but I really do love the fact that not every warrior has the same shield and that they aren't covered in big red armour, instead, metal armour with blood spatters and gore effects to a good taste. Your marauders also look very good. The one thing I could argue on would be the use of an unconverted Necrarch on that Corpse Cart, he looks too much of a Vampire still, especially with those moving corpses behind him. Perhaps use the Nurgle Sorceror that's been released at the same time as the book, the one with the big Nurgle icon and scrolls. He would make a good persona standing behind that altar I think.

The Warshrine doesn't have a crew. It's just one profile with four attacks

Neknoh - I really appreciate your comments. I agree with you about the Necrarch. Because of the time and spending limitations we have for this Tale of Many Gamers campaign, I was kind of forced to use it because it was in my bitz box and I was really running out of time. I will go back and switch it at some point.
Yerun - the blood is the best secret I've found so far. It's a Liquitex acrylic paint called "Van Dyke Red" which you can find at almost any art store. It's perfect. I use it directly out of the tube.
I'll post pics of the Knights hopefully tomorrow.

those chaos knights turned out great. pretty realistic looking.
i like the snow basing, and how sometimes the snow clumps to the feet of the model. looks great. i also like how you have grey gravel under the snow. maybe in the future try to have less snow and more gravel? kind of like a steppe... melting tundra or something. i think that would look better. maybe give it a try and see what you think.
