on and on it goes with the Valkyre. Based on a layer of Adeptus Battlegrey (i start to hate that color for its lack of handling) i put another thin layer of codex grey. Battlegrey dries up terrible and leaves different drying marks and colors. accents in red gore will come. This is still Paint-in-Progress!

Beside that, i modified the custom made Demolisher, making the cannon more bulky.

    As always, Comments are welcome

Small update on the valk, still paint-in-progress but you can see where it is going.

Preview on the base, missing some kork and sand.

Another sneak peak on the Leman Russ Tanks with added bitz.

I'm really enjoying looking at these guys. Lots of inspiration for my own future marine army!

    So, further progress

Here is the base for my PDF / IG Forces, 50 Warzone Imperial Soldiers for just 4,50 EUR (@ eBay). Currently i´m waiting for some pig iron bitz for final conversion.

Another view at my current projects in progress.

Because my bit shipment arrived today, i could do a further step on my vendetta. Just fixed with blu-tac, but the weapon systems will be magnetized. Those are the las-cans from the SM predator.

    Re: Siamtigers Log-o-rama

On friday i had my first game with the Brueckenkopf Space Marine Chapter, the Legio Canum against a tyranid attack. After some troubles in the first two turns, i won the game. Thanks to Christoph for the nice game.

Not that anybody starts thinking, it wouldn't go on in here. Some of you may know, that i own a rather large army of the empire (about 22.000 pts).

Since saturday this is the latest expansion (stank #5 resp. #7)

    PIP at the moment

IG conversions and alternate models look good.
But I gotta ask how come you already have the new stank and goldswords? Looking forward to seeing them painted.

    Re: Siamtigers Log-o-rama

I´m chief editor of a german tabletop portal (-> signatur) and review new releases across the tabletop market. Usually i get some products (mostly books) a few weeks prior to the release, so i have enough time to write a review. But sometimes, if there is an major release, i am lucky enough to receive some kits (like the Valkyre).
But this time it was incredibly early, i would have expect it next week or so. But as an empire player myself, i just couldn't wait to start assembling and painting this awesome kit. Especially because we are gonna use it for a promo event at our local gaming store,

The new price may be a bit high, especially in comparison with similar size kits like the stegadon, but its lower than the old metal one and way better to handle. The details are awesome and due to the plastic, its easy and clean to assemble.

I made the mistake and glued the hydraulik pistons to early, i should have painted them seperately. The washes are amazing, now just cleaning up the paint job and some details, and the stank is ready. Don't be irritated by the messy parts, its just to get in the right direction of the paint job.

Very nice log. Enjoyed the pictures, and your SM chapter is very unique.

    Keep us updated!

    Hauk
    Amon Amarth kick ass.
Also, listening to Immortal and reading Chaos fluff is an excellent combination.

    Update on the Stank:

As well as some more 1:48 Tamiya Tanks

And i totaly dig this kit, the plastic Chaos Knights. Superb miniatures, i mixed them with the chaos mutation sprue. The 5 knights have a undivided chaos champion and each chaosgod has a knight dedicated to him. This will be some kind of whfb-counterpart to abaddon with terminator retinue.

And of course the space marines "Legio Canum" is going on, i started painting the 2nd tactical squad:

I was lucky enough, to get my hands on some fine Classic Rogue Trader Space Marines

And i´m working on a true-scale Space Marine for -I-Munda. Just a mock up, to see whats possible, i probably change a lot of parts on this one.
