The final version of the exp. power armor is really cool. The pose is also fluid and fun.
If it's an experimental armor maybe the decorative skull and star on the life suppert pack are out of place Looks cool though!

    Re: ZEUS Battlefortress (WH40K IG)

    Thanks guys,

So here is now the re-cap of the Dread build phase.

    First I assembled the driva

I really like how the goggles make him look totally surprised :)

Next I assemble the cabin, aligning the driva with Cpt von Schneider and his Bolter

For the base I ripped an old Leman Russ apart and decoratively scattered the pieces around :P

Then I started on the legs - I decided against the standard Dread legs and rather went with the chicken-style legs of most titans

The arms were next, and gave Cut'n'Crush the name

The one arm with the claw is crushing the barrel of the hull gun, while the arm with the blade is trying to get at von Schneider

Of course the driver cabin can't be really open (just for painting and display purposes), so the cabin received a propa plate

    nice ugly face, huh?

Since the diorama was intended for the "Summer of Heroes" contest, I needed someone in need of a hero rescue :)
So here is the wounded crew member hiding behind the wreck of his crushed and cut tank

    Slowly the pieces came together

    and the final result:

I hope you like it :)
    Cheers

    OK, here we go!
    Cpt von Steiner with paint

As you can see, I plan on some OSL, but I will have to add more "Light" to make it look good.

    Cut'n'Crush with base paint

This is as far as I got.

Yesterday my wife had a pretty bad car accident

Luckily her Guardian Angel was ready and Made in Germany held its promise!
Just some bruises and contusions, burns from the airbags, and LOTS of adrenalin.
She's fine, limping a bit and non-stop on the phone
Her "opponent" who took her right of way, is also OK, no major injuries, so thanks to all the guardians for their excellent work!

The front crumple zone on her car has done a bloody good job! Note how the door frames are totally untouched and the passanger cell is totally intact! Looks like a total write off however due to teh damage to teh engine and trans.

    Lucky lady!

Hope that your wife is well. Judging by the Merz she must have had a battalion of Guardian Angels!

Best wishes for your wife. I generally watch your thread silently, but that made my heart jump into my throat. Good to see no one was badly injured.

Wow, so that's what it looks like when a car looses a hull point! Kidding aside, I'm VERY glad to hear everyone is safe and best wishes to all for a speedy recovery!

Oh, and your projects are still awesome Klaus, but nothing new there!

    Re: ZEUS Battlefortress (WH40K IG)

Thank you all for your wishes!
My wife is recoving well, and since it wasn't her fault, insurance is taking over.
We're both very gratefull for her guardian angel, who definately worked over time and amassed a lot of good karma on Monday - he deserves a promotion :)
The Mercedes is a complete write off, but if everything goes to plan she can order a new one next week.
I suggested a Leopard 2 tank, but after a good smack on my head, I agreed to either a Mercedes GLK or E-class...
Damn, now she'll have the bigger car....sigh
    :D

As mentioned last week, I stoped my work on the Can Opener project and started on "something with a heavy APC".
Project name is "ORKALYPSE NOW" :soapbox:
Orkalypse Now will involve a heavy Dencaran APC and a squad of IG troopers under attack by some Orks (even though I am not sure if even one Ork will be visible).
For the APC I was planning something special. You all know that the Dencarans build big :)
ZEUS, ATHENA, HERCULES...you get the idea :)
Browsing through the net, I stumbled across this beauty.

Out of which I created this scetch

    Which translates to this:

    all the modules are seperatable

With this I can add an interior (if I ever feel like it)

With the basic build complete I started to add details

As usual you can see a lot more images (45+) in my Dei Greci blog: http://fischers-design-shop.blogspot...nos-apc-1.html

    So what do you think?
I hope you like todays update and I look forward to your C&C.
    Cheers

    Re: ZEUS Battlefortress (WH40K IG)

    Thanks guys :)

Haha - my disguise still holds!
*whip cracks* get to work you little elve and build me a nice tank *whip cracks again*
Actually I started work on the PONOS on Friday the 27th - so this is now a whole week of building.

In regards to the tracks, the PONOS also uses the ones from the HERC

    which I'm casting right now

In regards to the capacity, the Chimera has a troop compartment od 8x5 cm = 40cm2 and can hold 12 models = 3,33 cm2 per model
    The PONOS haas a troop compartment of 12x8cm = 96cm2 = 29 models :)

So a full platoon should do, no?

Well, I added some more details like cables and more rivets

And with the track sections in place the PONOS looks like this:

And since I had some more time before hitting the bunk last night, I also added rivets to the track section

    Cheers

Have you ever thought about asking a model development company if you could work for them? Your stuff is miles better than a lot that is on the market!

Alternatively you should try selling the designs or original models and the patent as masters.

Great work, Klaus ! Love that transport. The attention to detail is (wie immer) right up there at the very top.

Great idea to use the tracks from the hercules, now you dont need to build a new master to cast. Brilliant !

Are you still working on the Athena airship or have you decided to put it to one side?
