Hi folks,

As a newcommer to Warseer i've been inspired by al these great logs in the forum section. So much indeed that i've decided to start my own. My log may be a bit different in that my army is already painted. I painted it for last years Dutch GT and although i planed it way ahead, as usual i had to finish it the night before the tounament. Thats probably the reason why not all the units in the army look as great as they should and thats the reason i've started this log. The comming months i'll be looking at some of the units for a painting update to make the army ready for the Battle of the Clubs in may. After that i'll be painting new units to expand the army and make it ready for this years GT and add some nice stuff for apocalyps games.

But first things first, here is a picture so you can see what i'm starting with.

I know the quality of the pictures varies a bit but i'm working on that. I'll be posting pictures of individual squads as i redo the paintwork on them. First up are the Dire Avengers.
I'm not a very fast painter but i hope to update this log on a weekly basis.

For the army as it is on the picture; i'm putting in some extra work (shading and highlights) on the Dire Avengers, Dark Reapers and Warp Spiders as they don't look as good as the rest of the army. I also need to ad some unit markings and Craftworld symbols to the army as a whole.

Then i'll be adding new units to the army (in random order):
Avatar (being painted by a friend of mine sometime soon i hope)
6 Fire Dragons
8 Striking Scorpions
Autarch on Jetbike
Farseer and an bunch of Warlocks
3 D-cannons
Falcon
Wave Serpent
6 Swooping Hawks

There might be more but this is what i have lying around now so that will be the first aditions. After that i'm adding a MK1 Scorpion (wich is actualy almost finished), a MK1 Cobra and a Shadow Weaver for Apocalyps games.

Hey, i've got some positive replies .Thanx guys!

@eskimo:I don't think the Banshees to be the most usefull of Aspects in the new edition of 40K (or maybe i'm just not capable of using them correctly) and so i haven't included them in the army (jet). But maybe i'll ad a squad in the future.

@Corryn: The main part of the army was painted in about 3 to 4 months, although some units were finished moths before that. So i guess it took me about a year in total (i blame The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion game for that i guess; Damn you people at Bethesda! ). And here are some pictures of the War Walkers.

Good to see more Eldar armies popping up here.

I really like the colors spekkiebig, and the bases are very nice (snow goes well with the blue).

I'm impressed that you took the time to paint all those gems, they really stand out against the colors of the army.

@Eskimo I'll look into the fluff for the Iybraesil a bit more. Maybe then i'll deside to ad some Howling Banshees.

Furthermore i'm almost finished painting my Fire Dragons and repainting the Dire Avengers. I hope to put some pictures up this weekend.

Update time i guess. I've been busy this week with all sorts of stuff, just not very usefull stuff. I've done some work on my Falcon an Jetbike Autarch.



As you can see i still need to do lots of work on both. Oh yeah, i also forgot to close my case befor i picked it up today


So thats more work for me i guess, but nothing serious; everything broke off very nice and clean so that will be some quick fixes.

I bought this litle baby from Ebay. It is a nice adition to the army. I also have a mkI Scrorpion that just needs finishing the base now. (To be honest it is needing that for about 2 months now).



I've also put together this unit, wich was actualy scheduled for the Dutch GT last year, as a new adition for the army.



Seems that i'll have to make up my mind on what to do next. For now i'm still working on the Fire Dragons (who wil be up here sometime today) and the Dire Avengers ( who i hope to finish today also, but that could just as easy be next week ).

Superb looking, really I like how smooth and pristine the colours are and how neat the paintwork is, no wild highlights, no typically eldarific clashing colours. Simple and elegant. I normally don't even give eldar a second glance, but I really do like the force you've put together Keep up the great work

It has been a while since i posted the update, so it's time to show some progress. First up is the Autarch wich is part of the army on page 1.



I quite liked the way he turned out so i haven't done any work on this one, i just wanted to show him to you. But to show you that i'm not as lazy as you all think i am...
