Im suffering from "cant focus on one thing until its finished" and have drifted away from my greenskins a bit in favor for Chaos. I am ashamed but at the same time thrilled!

There are so many ideas in my head i could probably make something like 10 armies of different chaos-clans and species.. Altough Warriors of Chaos is the strongest one with all the possibilities for convertions and painting. And it seems like a fun army to play.

To start with i want to make a unit of nurgle knights and but i want to totally avoid the colour green since i have painted my share of greenskins in my life. So therefore i have experimented alot with different colours and i finally found the one i wanted.

Heres my poor testdummy, hes painted with something simmilar to a tankbrush but it was a quick job atleast hehe.. What do you think of the colours? Is it feeling like it could pass as nurgle?




Thing is i want to tie it together with the rest of the army so a blackish/purple basecolor will be the one on all the different marks.

just incredible we want to see them painted, and also more warriors, cloack need some work try over a green base, it could look more realistic or over a pale brown

Christ, you're a dab hand with greenstuff aren't you, blimey. Some great modelling there, really good.

As for the painting, hell, you did that with a tank brush?! Kudos to you, the idea behind the shield pattern looks really cool XD Use a real brush, smooth it out and it should look suitably nurglish. I agree with the previous poster that the cape needs more work and probably less wash IMO.

very cool, those knights look very good. i think the way you've painted the warrior is a nice break from the typical green that so many nurgle armies are.

Hey guys. Its true about the cloak, i need to work it a bit more indeed. Kinda rushed it with the inks hehe.. Altough i must say it turned out very bright because of the camera.

It is a new brush so it still got its tip intact, otherwise it would be alot messier hehe. When the real painting starts i will use smaller brushes of course and smooth things out more.

Yeah its fun to try something different. I actually got inspired by Darth Vader when he´s dying after fighting the Emperor. If i paint some nurglestuff with skin there will be pale greyish skins and blisters of yellow-redish colors.

nice conversions, for the test dummy..If I think about Nurgle I see a greeenish schema, yours is really nice but I´d add a bit of green

Sculpting is excellent and overall conversions are amazing. As for the "testdummy" i say keep using that tank brush, i really like the way the woc has come out, it's very reminicent of John Blanches style of painting (his miniatures) and i love that gritty almost conept art aspect on painted miniatures.

I have done some more work on the cloak of the warrior and also one more knight have his share of greenstuff finished.

Well not a actuall tankbrush but from another company, its a big brush but much more pointy so i could make the details.

John Blances minis are awesome. I remember the old ones from the 80´s. Good stuff indeed. Altough.. i dont think i have it in me to paint it like that. want it a bit more "finished". But my lack of time could sure need to use this style. Might look real cool for a whole army.. Hmm... darn, now im in doubt! lol

Its a Metalimo 4, its red and white and pretty long and pointy. You got the same?

Finally the last knight is stuffed. Need to give them some cool bases now and after that i think i need to make me some ogres. They will become nurgle too only because i have this strong idea on them. But i dont know if i will make a whole army of nurgle.. Think i will mix some slaanesh in perhaps for the contrast. And tzeentch.. and some khorne.. lol
