Wowee! Looks really good. That's great that you are making an LATD army. Love the chaos lord in termie armor.

Lovley stuff Mr!
I must say that your work is one of my biggest inspirations and to see more and other stuff your produce, well it makes me want to build some more stuff.
Anyhow this log looks interesting as it contains Alpha legion, one of the coolest Chaos "chapters" that gets far to little attention so kudos for picking them. And You do them justice with both painting and convertions so it will be interesting to watch your progress with them.
It is also good to see some traitors with the good ol checkers! Keep it up mate, I´m subscribed

Supremearchmarshal, apart from adding some damage to the armour with clippers, the model is entirely unconverted. If you haven't used this kit yet, I'd recommend it it's rather a joy to work with the variety of parts. (the bandaged arm, the arm resting on a Lasgun, all the special weapons etc.) I've yet to use the Catachan Command kit, but I want to soon to convert some count-as Special characters.
Seville, welcome to my thread! I'm actually doing two separate armies; Imperial Guard (Traitors) and Chaos Space Marines (Alpha Legion) instead of an actual Lost and the Damned army now for various reasons (both the main lists are supported and up-to-date, more options etc.) Thanks for the complement on the Chaos Lord, he's one of my favourites too.
Animerik, hello again! It's inspiring to hear you say that because I could say the exact thing about your projects (are you going to be working on your Nurgle again anytime soon?).

Things have been moving steadily forward so I'll just do a little summary of what's happening for my hobby-wise at the moment;
~ Painting Platoon Command Squad - the Medic is now done, but I'll wait until I've completed the rest and do a nice group photo of the squad.
~ Reworking old sergeants for the Infantry Squads with new weapons and parts from the Cadian Command kit. I'm rather pleased how these are turning out with their dynamic poses, painting them shall be fun!
~ Reworking some older infantry models to have vox's, to round out the platoon to be four-squads strong each with heavy weapon, sergeant and vox-caster (therefore after painting completing my first and main Troops choice).
~ Just undercoated an Armoured Sentinel, as well as some =][= scale things (Cherubael and Quovandius). They're ready to be painted as soon as the Infantry Platoon is complete.

That's enough of me form this rather wordy update, but I would love to hear your ideas and opinions on things touched upon here.

The alpha legion scheme is great (quite understated without looking muddy), well done. Looking forward to seeing more mutants!
Txan, it's my original one actual back in the days when I was frothing mad about Red Corsairs. I still have a thing for them though.![]()
de Selby, cheers (obey the awesomeness that is Charadon Granite!). It looks like I'll have to get around to re-painting some I found in my model case.

An update, with vaguely decent pictures too!
Platoon Commander:
(new picture)
Platoon Command Medic:
I really like how the face came out on the Medic, I used to find those areas really hard to paint convincingly but I think I've nailed it now.

Work continues steadily on the Platoon Command Squad, mostly just the skin and the Platoon Banner to do now. My Sentinel is also paint in progress, still quite a bit to do but it's looking rather good so far!
Also, I have some Epic (mostly Warmaster Daemons*) coming along in the post for me so that'll propbably kick me back into painting for that game.
*the teeny tiny Screamers are so cute, I want them now!
That be all for now,
Feral

Very, very nice!
I like the Red/black contrast.
Just out of interest, what stats are you using for the mutants?

Lovely! Your pride in the medic's face is entirely justified.

nice work
keep it up
Great stuff as always, Feral. The face on the medic is indeed excellent.![]()
Thank you one and all for the nice things said. To answer a specific question though;
Happy Chappy, probably Penal Legion although I'd have to give some of the models Lasguns to represent the randomly generated skills they have.

Painting has been slow due to erratic work patterns and the intensely hot weather screwing things up as well.
The Platoon Command is all but finished, just need to work on the banner and basing too.
However, my first Sentinel is done!

ps. I have my Games Day UK ticket now, so if anyone wants to meet up or even play a game on the day, just give me a shout or something. (do they still have those Bring and Battle tables? I haven't been in several years!)

Great looking sentinel. The color scheme translates really well as it "scales up" to vehicle size.

Nice work mateso let´s see we have chekers, red, grit n grime, chaos and awsomeness. The sentinel looks great and the wheatering is great but may i suggest some really subtle thin rust around some (not all) riverts as wel las some thin washes of chestnut or something like it to look like oil on the hydralics that would be cool. However I'm just nit picking as it already looks ace.
great to see your stuff, it always inspired me. Now where did I put that sentinel
cheers

wow, great work mr.feral, I hadn't even realised you had a new log and then I find this, your latest stuff is awesoem, can't wait for more.
You got quite the army, mr.Feral. I have been following your log progress, not had the sense of commenting on you stuff until now. And I must say that I am very impressed! You have a wonderful theme going with a nice visual coherency but still very much chaotic. The Alpha legion is indeed a nice touch, glad you included them. Also looking forward to get to some Inquisitor models. I don’t know what piece of encouragement I usually type at the end of my posts would be fitting, as you’d already got every thing you need for this hobby. I guess the good “Keep this log up…” and so on will have to do!
