Well done mate! The sorc looks great, the armour is ornate and all that and still keeping the grim and worn look, kudos! I however hate that so I must say that it bothers me, but that is just my taste. Loveley to see you working again and fab luff as well

keep it up mate, 5 star ranking of course

Talking Re: The Lost and the Damned

Animerik, thank you. I get through my painting eventually.

    - - - - - - - - - -

With that I say good news everyone! The Platoon Command Squad is finally finished (and there was me just needing to deface one banner and then base it's bearer. Typical!).

    Platoon Banner Bearer:

The PCC finally arranged together and complete (plus lots of WIP things in the background):

I was a bit unsure how the defilement of the banner would turn out, but I'm pleased with it. At least I've now had a bit more practice for what's coming in the pipeline eventually.

    Hehehe...
(it's Red Corsairs old-school style for those who can't guess)

only joking..., usually I'm in the same boat but it wouldn't be a challenge if I didn't push myself.

    - - - - - - - - - -

I decided to finish painting one up to see how the final result would look:

It still needs a bit of tidying up, but otherwise I'm happy with the colour scheme. I decided that half of the Red Corsairs will be straight up renegade Crimson Fists, whilst the rest will have more corrupted armour. Needless to say but the Aspiring Champions will have the most defiled armour because they are higher up in the chain of command.

I would be happy to hear what you think.

Great work Feral, The blue blends in suprisingly well with the red. I also like the look of your standard bearer, the chaos symbols on the flag are a great addition.

Re: The Lost and the Damned

T_55, thank you for your comments. For the blending of the armour (after I basecoated the red parts with Mechrite Red) I stippled Blood Red over the red parts and a bit of the blue where it overlapped.

    - - - - - - - - - -

I finished another test model, but in the alternate "not-so-corrupted" scheme. I am very pleased with this one and I think it's a bit easier to paint too.

(I've just realised that I forgot to add a cross to the purity seal. Damn.)

At this rate I'm certain I won't be able to finish them all by today. Oh well (I go back to work tomorrow so that screws with plans a bit ).

    Thanks for looking,

Praexes, indeed! Hopefully you'll see this one.

    - - - - - - - - - -

I craved into the goodness that is the new Bastion and chucked it together with glee! I then went back and added lots of spikes and chains for that chaotic vibe. (or got ideas from hanging around too many Raider camps in Fallout 3 )

There's also going to be a corpse of an Imperial Guardsman hanging from the front as well (just a little bit of Green Stuff work to fill some gaps before I can stick him on for painting)

Some details on the balcony level:

(I like the oversized key for the hatch )

I'll also be revisiting my Traitor Guard sometime (since this is whom the Bastion is for) in the form of some background material and maybe some painting too.)

    - - - - - - - - - -

Next update will contain more Red Corsairs I promise,

Kasrkin 666, nice to hear the call in faith.

    - - - - - - - - - -

I have some progress with the Red Corsairs.

    Havoc Aspiring Champion PIP:

I'm ridiculously close to finishing him off, but this infernal hot weather prevents me from finishing him off which is really quite annoying considering the lack of time I get to paint in peace.

I've also undercoated a Chaos Rhino for my Alpha Legion Possessed (who incidentally have risen in number to nine because I built some more ). When I've decided on how will do the freehand on the chassis I will have a go at that.

    Till next time,
    Feral

I must say, I've missed out on alot of updates!

I do like the Bastion and the Red Corsairs, very nice. Your painting since the last time I saw it as shown in the Havoc Sarge, I love the white and black chevrons on his chainsword.

    Keep it up!

Re: The Lost and the Damned

    Hello!

First off, thank you Shadow Fall, Death Korp and Kasrkin 666 for the nice words.

It's been a while since I've worked on my Chaos Marines, so I'd thought I'd take a long-standing WIP and get it done.

    Alpha Legion squad:

I should probably take a few individual pictures because you can't really see all the freehand iconography and things. I still have lots to do (Terminators, Possessed, vehicles, Red Corsairs, The Purge (FW Nurgle bits ahoy!) etc.)

    Till next time,
    Feral

Re: The Lost and the Damned

Mr.Feral ones again you have done it. Damn you for your inspiering stuff :P The alpha legion guys looks awsome as a unit, it is pretty cool how you did manage to do a colour scheme famoused for being so vivid in to something so gritty.

The renegades looks cool I think a mix of them being in different stages of corruption is cool. And the terrain is so cool, I love themed terrain and this is no exception. Keep at it mate looking forward to more

    Cheers

Re: The Lost and the Damned

tinfoil, it's not that I stopped, it's just thos other project I've been working on is taking a lot of my attention away from 40K (more on that soon!).

Kasrkin 666 and Monsterzonk, cheers guys.

Animerik, ah I forgot about the Bastion still to finish! I will admit your Death Guard were an inspiration for what I have about to show.

    - - - - - - - - - -

For a bit of change, I dug out my FW Nurgle Sorcerer from Games Day after a minor bit of conversion work (swapped the Force Halberd which kept snapping off out for a good old Power Fist so now I have a Chaos Lord / Exalted Champion of Nurgle instead.)

Yeah, been painting him in the colours of The Purge (green and black with fly iconography). There's nothing quite as fun as trying out a new yet challenging colour scheme (the little black fly freehand symbols especially, serpents feel much easier in comparison now ).

Now, as a little treat and me wanting some feedback whilst it's the right time, a PIP shot of the Chaos Lord mentioned in my last post (bear in mind only the green is complete so far):

Comments and constructive criticism most wanted,
