You are not making the decision easy boys, but it seems like arkanus and elfboy's idea is the leading trend. I'll wait for some more comment before I commit myself to a choice of colour(s)

Feel free to check out my fantasy plog containing Blood Bowl, Empire, Skaven and lots more!
Black up to brown! XD
You want the wings in a neutral colour, otherwise they will attract far too much attention away from the more important parts of the miniature.
I'm a big fan of red , so I'd say dark red , but dark brown works too if you want an "earthy " look ...
I think the more muted tone of the dark red really looks good. I like the original black too though, so the black-to-brown scheme might be sweet as well.
I think I'll vote for red or dark red too- it seems like a classic color scheme.
The painting so far on that model is awesome.
and that shaman? Woah! I like!
center top one, really stands out![]()

I think I'll go for the brown/red look. I really want to have red on the wings, but all red is a bit too much I think, and as someone said on another forum, I don't want the wings to be the focus point of the model.
Thanks for all your input guys, you have been a great help in deciding a colour scheme. Now let's hope I pull it out nicely...

Brilliant stuff - I particularly like the squigs and recent troll jobby - and look forward to seeing more! Bring on the wyvern!
Cheerio,
Thanks for the nice reply.
I present you now the finished wyvern and some more black orcs. The BO are not totally finished, but I don't know why, I can't seem to find a satisfactory scheme. So I'll leave them like that for now, and later on I may come back to them.
The pictures are not of great quality, I hope they convey the paintjob nicely.

As for the Black Orcs, I couldn't do better than that, if I even could reach such a neat standard ... they look fine to me![]()
Wow fantastic job with the wyvern, the tone of red looks spot on, especially the shading.
The whole model looks stunning, good work![]()
Great working Azhagmorglum,k stunning paint as usual. I've always had a soft spot for the old pot bellied wyvern.
I really like the wyvern paint scheme and execution thereof. Pictures have been saved for future reference.
Hi everyone, thank you all for your kind comments on my latest work.
Feel free to do so, I'm just flatteredOriginally Posted by Little Joe
And now some pictures of wips. I'm building a doom diver, grom's chariot and a pump wagon. The pump wagon is the old model I got from ebay, though I'm pretty sure it's a recastsome parts are missing like the spiked roller on the front that I'm therefore rebuilding, other are simply not casted !! like the front and back edges of the wagon's floor.
It takes me quite some time to build those 3 warmachines, mainly because I'm trying to reinforce them with greenstuff and pinning.
Other work is 20 night goblins on the painting table. They've been waiting for a long time to get some paint on so now they must be happy (though it doesn't show on their faces ^^)
Pictures !!
