I'm far from that number since I only have 60 "new" night goblins (40 from the BfSP set and a box of 20). But I've got also 80 previous edition plastic night goblins waiting to be assembled/painted.
Thank you sir !
I haven't finished painting the 20 NG presented before yet. They are supposed to be part of the july entry for the ToFP 2011/2012, so I'm going to finish them soon. What remains to do is the hoods, the teeth and the bases, plus some touching ups here and there.
I still don't know what to paint for the august entry, but it might imply a warmachine of some sort...

Compliments right back at ya!
I never did see the final result of your work on the wyvyrn, I just realized. I'm still crazy about the contrast between his belly and the green color of his skin + the scales.
The base is rly well done as well!
I dno if you mentioned the rider already (?) Where is he at ?![]()

It's update time !
I painted 20 night goblins with spears. They are BfSP goblins. I used one 40x40mm base in order to have less bases to handle. I glued the goblins without their tabs, so I could place them like I wanted, so as to not to get perfectly lined up little buggers but rather a sense of randomness.
They took me quite some time to paint, but that's what happen when you paint 20 models together; highlighting and shading take a long time, but at least you have more models painted in the end ^^
Onto the picture :

Wow! This is a very nice plog. Thank you for linking it. I like your 6th edition orc conversions. Your stone troll looks sweet! The basing is top notch too. I can see definate progress in your skills and that starting out with a good paint job on page #1. :-D Wyvern and your most recent work, night gobbos, are fantastic! I've always like the black/yellow combo color and the banner highlighting is very convincing. Keep up the great work!

Well, I've got some pictures for you. Some stuff are new and some no. We have an army shot of everything painted so far (apart from Grimgor in the black orcs unit and the wyvern rider), and some shots of wips. These are stuff that will hit the painting table this year.
There are among other things 3 giants (1 plastic and 2 albion giants), 5 metal spider riders, 3 plastic river trolls, 1 doom diver, 1 oop snotling pump wagon, Grom's chariot and a unit of 24 orcs that will act as my big uns' unit. It's composed of mainly metal oop or limited edition models. Can you recognize them all? Cookie for the one who give me the exact list of models in this unit (hint : only 22 models ^^)
The boss riding the wyvern is pip. I added some stuff to make a saddle to cover the gap between his legs and the wyvern's body.

Ooh... you weren't kidding on the older mini's for your big 'uns unit! I have some of those models myself.. some I have several of. Isn't the one in the center front the LE model from Warhammer Online? Also, a good use out of the Warhammer Quest models too.

Hah! Nice collections of minis you have there! Can't wait to see them painted.
@ Lord Cedric : yeah you're right there are some stuff from warhammer quest. And the boss is indeed the warhammer online LE model. He's so big he'll take two spaces in the front rank. I cut out the goblin shaman and added a wolf's head (still some greenstuff to do).

I hope I'll manage to paint as many goblins as you did. Thanks for your post
Thank you sir!
And for something new, I want to share with you all my recent wips. These are orc archers. I converted them from plastic arrer boyz and from normal orcs too. I tried to find some interesting poses, and I hope they look convincing enough. They don't all have heads since I haven't decided which one to use yet. Tell me what you think :

I'd love to have some arrer boyz tbh .. where did you get those ? As far as I know the Fantasy game kit before Bfsp (??) had those in it ... are the arrer boyz still get-able some where? ?

I've had those arrer boys for more than 10 years now I think. I've got 16 of them + 2 for the command group (so not archers per se). Some will remain arrer boyz, others will reinforce my already completed Orc units.
I think you can get those for cheap on eBay if you're interested

I haven't fully resumed work on my army, but here are the last three I've worked on.
1) the orc boss on wyvern : so far, only the skin is finished, I did it three months ago but I've never posted the pictures here.
2) not a greenskin this time, but a dark elf plastic sorceress I bought for a friend and that I'm painting as a christmas gift (a surprise of course). I've painted the skin so far, I went for a flesh colour coupled with a blueish shading to give a sense of coldness. I don't if the result is good enough, what do you think guys?
Obviously there is still a lot of work to do on her, and I have a hard time choosing a colour scheme for the rest of the model. For the hair I was thinking about a deep blue colour, and maybe the same for the clothes. Again, what do you think and do you have other suggestions (for other parts too)

And I think the skin color of the sorceress is awesome!! You definitely hit a great color for making it gold .. and with great depth. I would be very interested in knowing how you achieved that skin tone!
Great update
Hope you'll get some more time for painting when you're done moving
