man.. i would have figured posting that many pictures would have gotten a little more responses than 'zero'
do you like it? do you hate it? do you have a recommendation? what about colors? should my 2nd hydra be albino, or blue?
?????

Albino would be awesome, especialy if you could model scars on it.
Awesome army so far by the way, your a damm good painter, how'd you do your green?
Albino sounds interesting, but I'm not sure how one would do the belly then. Might look a bit boring all white. I think blue is the way to go.
Just gotta chime in...in your Dark Elves are gorgeous! Inspiring me to put down my VC at the moment and give my DE some much needed looooove. Great job! Will be watching with bated breath![]()

*All previous projects are on hold as I make ready to unleash the Emperors Wolves upon the local fields of battle. For the Allfather!
i've thought the same thing about painting albino.. i was thinking it would be all in the colors you use to work it up from.. you can use various reds and blues, so i was thinking red for the back with blue for the belly.. and also go a few steps further with the white on the belly.. it would be a butt to paint, but may look cool.. the only thing i really worry about is it looking too pink.. and also it would be dirty really easily from touching it..
the green is starting with gnarloc green and washing with dark green ink and black washes then drybrushing with more gnarloc green and goblin green.. then washing it again with green.. the more you do this the more depth the model has.. i use the layer everything, and i started using the wash method and it sped everything up.. i think i finished the skin on the hydra in about 2 hours..
thank you for the kind words! i'll try and keep this thing updated more so than the last one

wow! very cool and great looking DE army! very smooth painting. the hydra looks especially cool. i think your next Hydra should be blue.
alright.. time for an update.. sorry it's been so so so long.. but i took a step back from painting for a little while and couldn't find my motivation..
but in the last week, i've been getting ready for a local tourney and i adjusted my list to include a couple things.. so here you go!
ok.. obviously i have to try something else:
first is the dragon.. i'm still not quite done with him.. his seat back is a little too bright and i haven't painted the banner yet:
two more shades
WIP pic of chariot.. i've had some issues with this fella.. first i dropped it when priming.. next left it in the car not thinking and the base bowed
black guard.. first unit finished in 3 days time:
my painting table.. i like to be organized

Your dark elves look very good indeed - the dragon looks great as a centrepiece. Your freehand skills are very impressive too, that's a pretty close up shot of the banner and your painting still holds up as neat and crisp. Lovely stuff.
Great stuff, the troll looks really nice. And I really like how the dragon is coming together.

Nice work. Personally I much prefer when people post pictures embedded in the post like you're doing now, than just attached to the post. That might be a reason you got less replies in the past, most people are very lazy when it comes to clicking on links...
Nice freehand on the banner, and that thing pulling the chariot looks crazy!

I'm hopefully going to finish this chariot by the end of the week.. i need to have it finished, and everything "snowed in" by sunday's tourney. i'd like to have the dragon's banner done as well... after that... i could finish more dark elf stuff, or start on something new.. have a dwarf army waiting on the side right now
I will definitely take this into consideration.. it's actually easier to just do the photobucket thing.
yeah.. i got that in a huge lot of stuff off of barter town.. finally put it to good use.. it really shows the size difference in the game zone cold ones.. although i'm still trying to figure out what is teeth and what are scales.. its kinda confusing..
and to the other few of you.. thank you for the compliments!
