Chaos Marine havocs are awful, only thing stopping me conveting a loyalist missile launcher guy is the possibility of some new plastic havocs some time soon.
Sure ive been told they are due out soon.

Ah! These guys are so cool! I absolutely love the Word Bearers, and you've done them nothing short of justice in the superlative. I am very, very excited to see this army carried out.

Or tell us which models you used for your robe ones as it would make a lovely death shroud.
Pretty sure it's a dark angel veteran. That's why I'm so interested cos I'm just about to start on my own!

I've been asked a few times about how i paint the robes, so eventually ill make a guide, my camera broke recently so im having to rob my brothers whenever hes around, so at the moment its hard actually making a visual guide.
The robed models are indeed very slightly converted dark angel plastics. Spot of green stuff here and there and they make excellent word bearer models (imo).
I'll be working on my Dark Apostle once ive got the rest of this squad done i think. Not 100% sure though, i want him to be something really unique so it may be a long process of elimination.
Just one more robed guy to go then thats the second squad done!

Amazing army so far. I love those hooded, faceless marines. Your color scheme works really well with dark red armors and bony robes. Keep it up

I like your DA conversions, they're very effective in my opinion. I think that they would benefit from some trim arount the bottom of the robes and perhaps some freehand chaos icons on the body areas.
