Right, this is my first project log thingy and its going to be about me putting together an IG army and trying to stick to a fairly rigid budget.
Now, since GW's, frankly moronic, decision to repackage IG troopers to £12 (£15 in june) for a 50 point squad san's heavy weapons, Im looking to do something other than just paint an assload more cadians.
Now, we've all heard of Victrix napoleonics:

and its these I'll be using as normal guard troopers. Simply because, at the moment, I can get 52 of them in a box for £20. Cheap as chips as David Dickinson would say.
The budget I've set myself is £150 for the whole project. The reason is:
1: I dont want to spend too much when Im also doing World eaters
2: I've got an adopted daughter
3: Im only working part time because of my previous convictions
So I'll also be using alternative tanks, artilliary and all such.
First pictures of my infantry will be up by the end of the week, along with comparison pictures of how they measure up next to cadians/catachans and marines.
