A few questions since I'm starting BFG

Right, I'm starting to play BFG and have myself a FW Tau fleet on order. After downloading the rulebook and having a look through it I've got a few questions.

Firstly, I can't find the rule for fighters suppressing turrets. I've seen it mentioned, and I can find the rule about bombers suffering a -1 per turret, but not the suppression bit.

Secondly regarding damage. I presume when in the critical tables when it says "Port (or whatever side) armament damage" that's everything on the portside whether it be gun batteries, lances, torpedo launchers or launch bays?

Regarding the tracking systems that the Tau have. Does the vessel/defense fitted with them also benefit from them?

And lastly regarding the ordnance limit. I can understand how you can't have more fighters on the board than you have launch facilities. However I was wondering if you can do this example.

Launch all available fighters on turn 1, then next turn reload. Then in the same turn as reloading, if I choose to remove some of those fighter tokens, can I then relaunch them in that same ordnance phase? I kinda think that it doesn't make sense but just not sure.

I can't find that rule either. I guess you can play without it.

Yes, that's everything on the port side.

Yes, the vessel fitted with them also benefits.

You are allowed to relaunch in the turn you reload, and you are allowed to launch as many as you like so long as you still conform, after launching, to your fleet ordnance limit.

The turret supression rules was somehow left out of the final draft of the updated rulebook. I'm not sure where it can be found in it's original text at the moment.

Yes, you can recall markers and relaunch them in the same turn. Note though that as you launch ordnance before you move ordnance you can't use, recall and relaunch any markers in the same turn.
    Awesome. Awesome to the head.

Thanks for the swift answers. I presume the turret suppression thing wouldn't be in the FAQ?

And speaking of the FAQ is there anywhere I can download it from?

Regarding ordnance, yeah forgot you launch ordnance in the shooting phase, so therefore couldn't recall ordnance and then relaunch it from the same ship in the same turn.

The FAQ is superseded by the V2 rulebook.

Ah didn't know that, so does this mean there is no point in getting the FAQ?

You can look at it, but I don't think it holds any authority any more.

A question. My rulebook says you cannot remove blast markers in contact with ships (fair enough)

Does this mean that defences/ships with no movement can never get their shields back?

Secondly, if a ship has prow torpedoes, what is the maximum angle you can fire the torpedo salvo at? We have been playing that as long as the centre of the salvo is still in your front arc, it can be fired in that direction. (which leads it to be able to hit things to the flank, just)

Defences have separate rules - you remove D6 blast markers from each defence in the end phase.

Ships with no movement? I think any ship can budge under AAF if it's lucky. Otherwise you have to wait to repair all those criticals.

    That's right with the torpedoes.

Just out of interest with torpedoes in specific Tau missiles. Can you turn the missiles on the first turn you fire them before you move them, so can effectively fire at ninety degrees?

    No, you may not.

I apologise; the FAQ is not only of historical interest - it contains clarification on the Armada Tyranid fleet, which still holds as it is more recent than Armada.
