Very nice man!
I especially like the Harbinger of Despair, something special and evil about him.

Long time without an update!
Work and other projects keep me busy, but I still was able to paint up a bodyguard for Lord Sethesh:
![]()
I like him. I think even witht he new releases that the old lord model is still very good and full of menace, you have done him justice.
I think these are my favourite Necrons I've seen on the net. Really like the blue. On the Lord's Orb it looks like you've managed to get a sort of surface shine, like you see on a glass marble, very nice![]()
...and he was worth his weight in gold in my last games!I like him. I think even witht he new releases that the old lord model is still very good and full of menace, you have done him justice.
That was quite easy: after zhaving painted the swirl on the orb, I painted ardcoat varnish over it.On the Lord's Orb it looks like you've managed to get a sort of surface shine, like you see on a glass marble, very nice
Reawakening! The dynasty is on the march again.
After having read the new BRB (and having painted 4000 points of Chaos Dwarfs) I bought some of the new Necron kits, mainly two Flyers and a Stalker, and started painting my Harbingers again. So regukar updates will occur in the next days!
The art that is Dezmord returns!!![]()

Nice to see that you're still with me!
Here are the first WIP shots:
The usual metallics are done and I've painted all the "glowing-energy-things", which took me quite some time... Seems like after all those Chaos Dwarfs with their warmer colours I once more have to get to terms with painting "colder" stuff.
you paint so quick! looking forward to seeing these all together. I've nearly done 1250 for a tournament this coming sunday - gonna have to get my butt in gear to get finished though
Great revival man! Perfect timing for me, since I'm painting/warseering again after a few months time, and it's nice to be able to roll through the good old familiar threads again
Stalker looks great already. I bet we don't have to wait long to see it finished![]()

This is looking great, I love the glow parts and I look forward to seeing all the new models you paint up.
@RTB01:practice is everything!you paint so quick!
@Solun Decius:Seems like we all felt the good old urge to paint our toysoldiers at the same timePerfect timing for me, since I'm painting/warseering again after a few months time, and it's nice to be able to roll through the good old familiar threads again
@ChrisMurray:...and it will be quite a few: I'm sitting here with two flyers, two boxes of Tombblades, a box of Wraiths and Zanndrekh.I look forward to seeing all the new models you paint up.
Back to the Stalker:
The golden ornaments are painted now and I#ve finished the Heatray. left to do are several cables, some cleaning up and the driver (who is already halfway done).

OoooI like the Stalker so far. One of my favourite minis to come out of GW recently. It's brilliantly xeno-tech looking
It suits your scheme nicely and the heat ray looks almost Independence Day-esque. Could imagine an upscaled version of that destoying cities

@Elazar: Nice to see that you're alöso still with me! Thanks for the compliment on the Stalker. I'm not quite sure how useful it will be games-wise, but as you've said: the heatray looks to good to leave it in a shelf!
I have my first 6th Ed. game comming up in a few hours and have just finished preparing the gaming-table - including my Harbinger of Destruction (Carlo, 4 months old):

The Triarch Stalker is done!
The game yesterday went quite well and was very interesting. As so often, it was a 2500-three-way-battle (Necrons, Tau, CSM) with four objectives - and accoring to the new rules the three secondary objectives.
My list was:
- Sethesh, the Harbinger of Storms (Imothek)
- Sakhmet, Blade of Storms (Semiptermal Weave, Warscythe, CCB, MSS)
- Lord (MSS, Warscythe, Semiptermal Weave)
- Cryptek, (H. of Destruction, Solar Pulse)
- Chrono-Cryptek
- 5 Triarch Praetoians with Staves
- Triarch Stalker
- 8 Immortals (incl. Sethes, Chrono-Cryptek, Lord)
- 5 Warriors (Ghost Ark, incl. H. of Destruction)
- 6 Warriors
- 6 Warriors
- 3 Wraiths (1x Whipcoils)
- 3 Scarabs
- 5 Destroyers
- Monolith
- Spider
- Spider
- Tombstalker
- Doomsday Ark
As you can see, my list was a little unusual - in the last edition I always had a C'Tan (with the dangerous terrain gimmick) in my list, but as his ability doesn't work so well anymore, I decided against it. When the C'Tan was scrapped from the list, I also discarded the Crypte with Tremorstave and the Exovenators I've used in my last games, as the first worked best with the C'Tan and the latter were usually uneffective.
There were a few lessons to be learned in the game:
- Snapshots can be quite effective against an assaulting unit. My Immortals and Sethesh killed several Daemons who assaulted them.
- AP1 weapons wreck havoc against tanks - Tau Anti-Tank was already effective, but I was taken aback when I lost both the Doomsday and the Ghost Ark in a single moment of shooting
- Secondary objectives are cool for stopping those pesky draws. A lucky lightning-strike destroyed a Tau-transporter in the first turn, the explosion killed 5 Firewarriors on the inside, 6 Kroot next to it and made the rest run off the table - first point goes to the necrons!
- challenges are great when you have MSS! The CSM Sorcerer slapped himself to death...
- I don't like fearless stuff in CC, as you have to kill each and every model now.
- units that flankmarch/come as reserves can't assault. It's only a minor detail for my Necrons, but severely cripples my Tyranids Genestealers.
Things that didn't work were once again the Destroyers - with the changes to Preferred Enemy, I had high expectations and was once again not impressed. Same could also be said about the Tombspiders which only worked as target-practice for the Tau.
First off, I love the kitten. Secondly the finished stalker is great. The gold is bright, but fits with your overall army well.
I just came across your plog and I have to say that I really liked what you have painted so far. Particularly the cryptek conversions!
keep it up!

Now that the Stalker is finished, there is time for other projects:
As I like the rules for Nemessor Zandrekh, but also like to have my own take on Special Characters, I decided to create this guy here: Nemessor Tahoth
I didn't like the original Zanndrekhs pose, so I exchanged the arms and considerably shortened the staff of light - it now consists of a Crypteks hand and the upper (which will include a blue rod) and lower part of Zanndrekhs staff. The head is from Imothek and is looking at a device he uses for his strategical planning (I wanted something to show that he is analysing his opponents strategy).
Looking good Dezmord. You seem to have been lucky with your Nemessor model, it has hardly any imperfections, most finecast stuff is horrible.
Funny thing to note is, that the only imperfections had been on the hands, ahich I had already planned to change against the ones from a Cryptek when I bought the Nemessor-modelYou seem to have been lucky with your Nemessor model, it has hardly any imperfections, most finecast stuff is horrible. But I wholeheartly agree with you - most Finecast-models I have bought (at least the ones for Necrons) had so many imperfections that I had to take them back to the store at least once - in case of a Cryptek the manager and I had to open 5 blisters before I had one that looked ok.
