I`ve been reading this forum for quite a long time and finally decided to post some of my paint jobs.
I`ve been painting for 2 years, mostly minis for my O&G and Dwarfs armies. Soon I`m going to start another one - VC But I`m still looking for a theme for them.

here are my recent minis:



Orc warboss on boar from GW kit. It was good fun to paint, I learning how to blend propelry (you can see it on the armour) and as you can see its a long way
Not much of conversions, head comes from Black Orcs bitz. It can be placed on the battlefield with or without battle standard The banner isn`t finished and won`t be soon. I`ve got no idea what to paint and my skills have to increase.



Simple Orc boar chariot, average table top.

I think it was a top of the standard in plastc Black Orcs box.
it`s been painted this way:
1. chaos black
2. boltgun metal
3. high lights with mithrill silver
4. controlled drybrush with vermin brown
5. controlled drybrush with orange (a bit less)
6. wash with gryphon sephia
7. high light wuth mithhrill silver

I hope I didn`t miss anything

Hi there!
a small update of what is on my workbench:
1. Necrach Vampire that`s been only basecoated white and skin painted in grey. I what thim to look dark
2. an ork noob from White Dwarf, a bit converted with Orcs Boss parts. the skin seems to be finished and I`m quit pleased with the effect.
3. Hasslefree mini, I call her "Ala" here only the skirt is finished, the skin is next
4. Blood Dragon Vampire is my first attempt to paint gold NMM. The picture is blurry, but you can see it doesn`t look like metal

I think the nnm would look more like gold if you used a darker brown for basecoat, let's say scorched brown - vomit brown - bleached bone or something.. Maybe just a wash of devlan mud would help..

Though I would keep it the way it is because I think i looks awesome..

Banner is a bit too colorful for my tastes, but the fact that it is carried by a slave makes up for it

Those Orcs look amazing, the only thing that kind of bugs me is their skin. You've managed to get all sorts of details on the models right, the colours and such are amazing, but the green skin looks inferior to the rest of your stuff. Kinda disappointing!

Looking good, think I agree about the NMM. Also, I'm no NMM master but I think the highlight placement isn't quite right.

It's early days tho, I'm sure it'll come together!

I have really concidert what you have told me and started putting it into practice

I have put scorched brown on this blood vampire (pleas mind those two blue dots, I`ve spotted those on photos ). It`s still an early WIP, but looks more interesting.


The orc`s skinn has been given more layers to make it more interesting. Mixed washes of reds and browns. Maybe it`s more interesting now.


Once again thank you for all your advices, they keep me motivated to paint, paint, paint...

Great looking orkskin! Much much better than before..
Also the NNM looks a llot more like metal now. I actually think you can go one step further and do another, brighter hl on the edges.. But as I said, it looks great already.
