Finished my first full unit of Knights of the Realm today!
About 80 hours work total I think, but I'm pretty pleased with the results, so I gues its worth it.
Let me just get this off my chest: I HATE WATERSLIDE TRANSFERS!!!!!!!!
Command:
3 KOTR
2 KOTR (left one is GF's favorite)
Group shot
Lance formation
Comments and criticism more than welcome!
Special thanks to my girlfriend for taking the pictures.

They look really nice. I'd like some bigger pics though.
Awesome work on the knights! They are so cool! I absolutely agree with Hjalmar Cirkus

Very good work, man ! Crisp and clean, just as I like !
That's exactly the reason why I say that the Bret army is the best GW ever made !

Astonishing painting, lovely bases and awesome heraldry! 80 hours is a lot of time, but it's showing.
Those are fabulous.
80 hours? That is a lot of time... but wow, yeah, it shows. Your freehands blend right in with the transfers - it takes me a moment to pick out which is which. You have some amazing details on the horses, too, with some great shading. I can't wait to see more of this.
80 hours! Jeez, how many days did you spread it over? That seems like a long time, but it has certainly paid off!
Well done! (if Comrade Igor liked them, they must be good, hes a bit sniffy)

Great stuff! They seem so real, like they're actually moving. I find myself especially liking the detail on the horses (the shading on the muscles and the eyes), it's those details that makes them come alive, I think.
When in deadly danger
When beset by doubt
Run in little circles
Wave your arms and shout
Absolutely fantastic.
The mix of colours in the unit works better than I would've expected.

Wish I had the skill and drive to paint brets like that, I started an army but couldnt even finish painting my first couple knight units!! Brets are easily the hardest fantasy army to paint!
I think the key to having so many different colour work together, is make sure there is a lot of consistency OUTSIDE of those colours. The horses are just 3 different colours (black, grey, brown). All the knights have clovers. The bases are fairly detailed, which helps in tying them together. The lances are all the same colour. The armour is done in exactly the same shades of metal. And most importantly (I think) all the "reds" in the unit were done at the same time, as were the blues, greens, yellows etcetc. This makes the colours different yet consistent within the unit.
Thanks for all the positive feedback so far! Next up are some mere peasants, I just hope they wont be too disapointing compared to this extravaganza of colours.
They are some amazing brettonians ill definately keep an eye on this thread!
Beautiful stuff. Really, really nice.
Wow! Wonderfull work, man. I wish my bretonnians look that good.
