    Legion Tactical Squad

So, three years(!) after starting work, I finally have enough bolter Marines to field this unit as a proper Legion Tactical Squad Troops choice - albeit with minimum unit size, rather than an Elite Veteran Tactical Squad with special and heavy weapons making up the numbers.

It's extremely satisfying to have completed a 'proper' squad for this project, and I'm very pleased with how they look as a group...

...plus my miniatures cabinet is starting to look a lot more Yriel Yellow and a lot less Averland Sunset.

    Properly awe inspiring!
The amount of patience these must take is seriously jaw dropping.

Man these are outstanding/amazing/awesome. Its weird how the light up eyes suddenly make the marines s&^* you pants scary. That guardsman certainly doesn't look happy.

A lot of work but great Army (light show) shot. Never knew there was such an issue with "Yellow" , whoops I mean "Yriel Yellow".

    "The Defence of Terra."

Nothing new here, just a fun group shot. Now onto a new finished model...

    Custodes Shield-Captain Hyperion

I put the finishing touches to my Custodian Shield-Captain last week. He's a Scibor Miniatures 'Sci-Fi Centurion' model with a plastic GW guardian spear.

"The Custodian Guard muster for war."

A group shot of all my Custodes so far.

Thank you very much for your kind words everyone, they help keep me motivated! Haha, yes Jacka, of all the main army colours I've painted, yellow is definitely the most time consuming. Conversely, the dark blue of the Crimson Fists has been the easiest.

I'm pretty pleased with this one, even if it doesn't have any LEDs in it. More Crimson Fists on the way soon.

So after muttering about it for a while, I'm finally working on and LED effect power weapon. Here's a WIP (please excuse the blu-tac).

Hey there, great to see you guys are still around! I only recently returned here and have lost the "Dannage" account details, but I played against... Oooh, I think it was Bob Hunk in a TF campaign. I built a Leviathan.

I am currently visiting my brother for Christmas and he's asking for the best place to source magnets and I thought of you! (Hence being glad to see you are back and posting ha haaa!)

I did some thread searching but I can't find if you mention where you get magnets from. Is there a decent supplier in UK/Europe? (A lot of web pages on the topic are 10 years old!)

Great to see you guys are still going, though I can imagine frustrating after all your truscaling hard work, that they released the Primaris! I feel for you!!

Excellent work all round. You have certainly added a different element to your armies .

I'm not sure whether you made your own... but if you haven't already seen these, here's a link to some ready made, clear swords, in various colours and sizes:

Hello again my fellow Warseers. I'm back after a short hobby break due to the birth of my second child at the end of November. This has obviously curtailed my already limited hobby time, but I do have this guy to show you...

Crimson Fist Primaris Lieutenant with Power Sword

Also, over Christmas I had a little play around with my Crimson Fists and Orks to create this modern reinterpretation of the classic Rogue Trader cover art.

Ah, hi, great to see you on here. Yeah at first we were a bit shocked, but as you can see from the comparison photo earlier in the thread, true scale is still larger than Primaris scale, haha.

For magnets in the UK, I've always used Hasslefree Miniatures as they're cheap and convenient. You should also be able to find some good stuff on eBay.

Interesting, thanks for the tip Inso! I do cast my own stuff though. I tend to use white resin rather than clear resin, as it is a better diffuser of the light.

Thanks Gonfrask. Yes, Inso mentioned them above, but thanks for the images. I think I have enough sword blades cast for now, but those packs do look pretty handy. I might consider them in future if I ever need to do a whole squad all with power swords.
