Dannage is currently seeking conversion bits to turn Cadian guardsmen and Orks into casualties. If anyone in the South East of England has some bits they are willing to convert or cast up, pm me regards samples and costs.
For your image thing, when you look at the links in photobucket, you just need to copy the IMG one and post that. Photobucket has resized my shots a bit, but to a fairly manageable size, as my camera was set on the second highest resolution (though it is quite an old camera!) but my pictures always show up big. Are you still in the 'saaaf' or did you go back up to the bonnie homeland?

Thanks for the help with the pictures, fella, that's fixed it! How have you been?
I'm still working in London but things are changing so fast in the office it's hard to know how long this will be for. I've decided to box up some of my little guys (models, not children) for safe keeping in case my contract stops suddenly but I still have some stuff to post up shortly. Always the way!

'Vaunted' are troops that have reached a peak of training and religious piety within the ranks. They are looked to by Chapter Initiates as a source of wisdom and leadership when the officers are hard stretched. Inter squad rivalry within the Chapter is always strong and the Seneschals use this as a means to exercise good morale and emphasise the need for constant training. The Vaunted are used for inter squad contests as unit champions.
I put these Marines together as combat leaders for my Tactical Squads. I wanted to reflect the zealotry of my Chapter by using some of the religious icons in the SM sprues that we can get now. So much nicer than those shady banner poles I think!
The sergeants are still to be done but I am pretty pleased with the added bling these guys bring to the squads. Unfortunately, this makes me want add more icons to each unit now - I'm trying to work out how to do this without my Vaunted troops getting lost amongst all the bling...
Operation Failsafe was what they called the attempt at stopping the spread of the virus. Military units created a cordon, supported by the police. The idea was to seal off trouble spots and filter uninfected through stated checkpoints. Filter them and funnel them to refugee camps behind the lines. That was the idea.
The army - I'm not talking national guard, I mean the ARMY - wore full MOPP suits. Now, you ask anyone who's tried to wear riot gear for any length of time and they will tell you how bad things get in that gear. These MOPP suits definitely contributed to the confusion. The civvies were in no mood to be controlled like that, there were multiple instances of rioting.
This was also where the distinction was drawn between shamblers and... Oh I dunno, 'sprinters.' I don't think the runners were quite dead - they might have been a result of virus mutation but these days who really cares? Anyway, runners got in amongst the crowds and that was pretty much it. The army panicked and it was a massacre.
Those pretty little refugee camps behind the lines? Well, to a zed there ain't no such thing as boundaries - I don't think any of the perimeters held for more than a day after... Well, after Failsafe failed.
I finally finished the zombies from Tengu. I was very happy at the finished result after the basing. I also realised how slow on the uptake I've been - only just realised that these guys could represent Boomers, Tanks and Witches from Left for Dead!
Thanks for looking, everyone, can I just say thank you for posting your comments here as it really makes me feel good about my updates. I hope to continue to provide some useful and fun things here.

Okay the Lord Inquisitor. To me that shows off what I love about your painting and its those little bits that a casual looker will miss. He's a really nicely painted figure.. and then you notice that the glow from the eye lenses is reflecting on the shoulder pad, which is clever. You then notices the same technique on the gun sights, and the smooth transition on the inquisitor symbol. I'm seriously looking forward to you doing that Roman now.
As for differentiating your Vaunted, as long as your not adding anything else to the tops of the backpacks it shouldn't be too much of a problem. If you feel there not standing out enough it might be worthing marking the helms in some way as well (don't ask me how, I'm just the ideas man).
As for the zombies... well I'm not sure I want to know how you came up with those flesh tones lets put it that way
Anyway aside from all that you've gone all quiet again, come on monkey boy chop chop![]()

Lots of high quality stuff again, really like the Inquisitor and Seneschal particularly. And who can NOT love zombies?Keep it up mate!
Cheers,

It's been a whileI have just moved back to Edinburgh, and I am loving being back ! Finally managed to unpack all my hobby stuff. Finally there is no DUST screwing with my painting!
Three new survivors for my zombie apocalypse. The middle one's name is Josiah but I don't have names for the others yet. Josiah wears a red jacket and jeans but he's looted body armour from somewhere along the way. I like the idea that he was just a random guy who managed to loot some military kit.
Any suggestions for the psycho kid with a machete happily received!
In other news, I have decided to get rid of most of my Space Marine stuff. There is a whole load of stuff up for grabs if anyone is interested! Check out the Sale Threads
Comments welcome! I have 10 zombies that I can start working on soon, plus I have some more random survivors to get started on too.
Enjoy!

Hello everybody
It has been a long time since I have updated this thread. I have made some really fun friends on Warseer and it's wrong to neglect them!
I had a feeling that 2012 was going to be a big year for me and I was not wrong - I worked in London and then moved back to Edinburgh (I love Edinburgh!). Now I am finally settled into my own place and feeling happy.
Needless to say my log has suffered as a result! I actually have a bunch of new stuff to show you and I look forward to doing that! Expect pictures next week - I am going on holiday with the missus first!
I am DETERMINED to reduce the pile of little toy soldiers before Hogmanay 2012! Here is a list of what I PROMISE to complete by Friday 21st December:
- Solarian cruisers from Firestorm Armada
- Space Marine assault squad and Chaplains
- Pig Iron heavy infantry - 2 squads of 5 (so 10)
- 2 zombie survivor military types
THERE - I have committed myself now. Sorry for an update without pictures but I just wanted to get things rolling again!
Looking forward to getting some paint down, guys

Start with Firestorm Armada! Something about small scale space ships just pushes the right buttons for me.
My Project Log of Everything - Fun stuff for everyone!
Warhammer Battle Day - Time for Epic Battles
Warhammer 8th games played : 26
Storm of Magic games played : 2
Thanks guys!
Here are some Firestorm Armada cruisers next to Imperial Firestorms for scale.
I was trying some new tricks with my old camera and the shot came out okay. My setup needs work - you can see from the pic that my cruisers needed pinned down with a ruler! The Firestorm ships are lovely, they make great Ad Mech stand ins.

Thank you, buddy, praise from the praiseworthy is praise indeed.
I have continued to be productive - although waking up stupidly early due to illness has something to do with that I think!
This Assault Squad came out quite nicely for a bunch of eBay rescues! I would say 70% of the Marines I am putting together have been rescues like this, it's actually quite nice knowing I have given them some care and attention. The squad will be getting some extra attention later (few more highlights, purity seals and extra gear) but right now I am more interested in getting my minis painted to a nice standard and out of the to do pile!

The Chapter's Chaplains perform their duties of moral guidance diligently. They scrutinise young initiates for signs of physical and mental corruption with ruthless zeal - on many occasions the Initiates carry out any purgation themselves, such is there obsession with purity.
The Chaplaincy of the Brazen Guard is a well developed institution. The Chaplains are expected to assist the Seneschals in the execution of justice over Imperial dominions. Considering the religious convictions of your average Chaplain such judgements are usually swift and brutal. The Brazen Guard pride themselves on exercising this justice upon their own troops too. Battlefield executions for dereliction of duty are rare but not unknown.

They come from Hasslefree Miniatures. I imagine the female one as the leader of the pair, funnily enough.
Hope you like them, I think they look slightly cooler in real life
ALSO managed to paint up a squad of 5 Pig Iron infantry:

Urrggghhh the photographs came out terribleI actually really enjoyed the greys and extreme highlights but sadly the natural light is all but gone in dreary Scottieland. Anyway, pretty happy with the achievements recently - I have another squad of 5 to do but that's unlikely to happen before Christmas now. These will all be part of my zombie apolcalypse.
Watch this space for Marine Devastators soon![]()

The Firestorm cruisers are really sculpts, actually, and feel enough un-40k (while, paradoxically, fitting very well within 40k) to be able to use them for an Infinity themed BFG fleet. Hmmmmm...
Cheers,
BTB
Thank you, BTB! I am glad you like the recent stuff - my photography skills are not the greatest but happy that they get some approval. I have been slowly moving towards more of the individuals and smaller teams rather than 40K armies these days - it gives me more motivation to do a nice job
The Firestorm ships are a nice change for my BFG - there are loads of different types that you might like on the Spartan Games website. My only problem is the bases - they keep wobbling crazily as they're pretty heavy. Hopefully I can find some washers to weigh them down
I have an update with more infantry and Devastators this weekend! Really looking forward to getting the darn things finished![]()
