My guess is to the end of the year.

I assume orks sold quite satisfactorily.
Nevermind that Orks are the easiest to scratchbuild vehicles for, or really any unit for that matter.
I guess now I should wonder if I will be able to complete my Demon army before or after the Necrons get a codex and model update.
I'm sick and tired of hearing this. It's really insulting to Ork players to force them to convert/scratch build vehicles just because it's "easy".
I have converted my fair share of Ork vehicles, and I would LOVE a proper kit.
For one thing it will save me from having to look at so many crappy, CRAPPY conversions/scratch builds that were so "easily" done.![]()
What? Orks might get plastic Dreads and Kans? Unthinkable! Why should the Ork players get replacements for their overpriced metals while Chaos players are waiting for a replacement for their normally priced metal model?
Outrageous!
As often as it gets shown, I'm betting we'll see the Daemon Prince before Dreads and Kans - people seem to just run rampant with rumours here.
There was a rumour not all that long ago about cavalry models still to be released this year in the Fantasy section. Mind you, with Azhag coming out, it could be Ork cavalry, but there's always the chance it could be Seekers as well.
The world's not ending, you'll still get your plastic Prince.
GW's probably using the Prince to force-prove a point they love to make.
GW: "Well, we showed you the plastic Prince over a year ahead of time and it just made you all mad. So see, we're right when we say that showing you things 3 months in advance at most is the best way to keep your attention."
But it is easy
I concur, though, they need new kits.
On topic, I wonder why it takes so long until the new prince is released since the model is known for a long time now. It seems totally against the latest "we concentrate on the next big thing"-policy.
Not that I like the model anyway, just wondering.
Anybody with an answer to that?
Cheers

Well whenever it comes out, looks like my Chaos army is finally getting the Demon Prince I've been wanting. I like the metal one, don't get me wrong, just a lot of people using the same model where I'm at, and it'd be nice to get a plastic one for more conversion options.
I make terrain for a living, molded in silicone and casted in resin. Check out my stuff at my website www.kettleskeep.com
Well when it comes out it comes out hoepfully it will be soon.
GWs two busiest times of the year are summer and xmas and they tend to release things that higher on the hobby cone that everyone can use to maximise sales. Thats why armies always seem to come out in the spring and fall times, which are the slowest for GW.
Here's the hobby cone:

Not sure where the hobby cone would fit in the hobby cone, to be honest.
What is in a name? An Ork by any other name would still see us as meat.
