The metal vampiress was not included and I'm not even sure that I'll get one. She wasn't part of my original pledge and there was some confusion about whether she would be among the extras for those having pledged more than $225.

No plastic armies for me. I went in with the intention of getting some more Abyssal Dwarfs, but I ended up ordering loads of Celestians, which will come next year.
It's not like I am in danger of running out of things to paint in the meantime...

Considering I declared this month Goblin Month there has been a distinct lack of goblins so far. Let's remedy that:

So thirty more Night Goblins with spears. Not bad, but a bit underwhelming for Goblin Month.
So I started preliminary work on some more:

    And some more:

    And some more:

And then I posted it to the internet in the hopes of getting encouraging comments.

The army as it stands so far:

Man, you get all the cool nicknames. Nor is definitely my favorite so far. Is your name actually Norton, by the way?

Love seeing the tide of green expand further. You've got some great fanatic models there, and the colors you've chosen for your squigs look promising. After this next batch it looks like you'll have enough models to start playing some games!

...if, you know. You ever get around to playing some games.

The green tide is becoming just that, you seem to have collected some of the nicer additions such as the Gamezone fanatics and various old metal ones from GW. This must have been planned in some way?

Besides this month is just half through and you cannot expect everything done at the beginning. Looking forward to more of this madness.

Not bad at all, I just don't think I have the necessary follow through at the moment.

    No.
In case anybody is wondering, my handle refers to this remarkable man.

    Which continues to be unlikely.
I've been meaning to sign up for this forum of gamers in my area for weeks, but I somehow never get around to it.

Planned? No, not in any way that goes beyond me thinking "Hey that looks cool, I want one of those." I'm a little sad I only have two variants of the GW metal fanatics. I am positive that I had more, but I traded some away. I'll have to remedy that at some point.

With the month halfway over I am nowhere near I had hoped I would be. Things are going a lot more slowly than I had wanted.
It doesn't help that summer seems to be back with a vengeance and I can only brave the attic in the early hours of the morning, which I should spend doing something more productive.
    Anyway, some more finished Gobbos:

So that brings the number up to 50 for this month and 120 overall.
Regrettably that is a mere 545 points.
But at least that's 545 points of core troops, so I can do something less repetitive now.
I'll do character models next, then probably switch over to the Malifaux Gremlins and maybe some Special and Rare units after that if time allows. And somewhere in between I have to finish the dragon for Super Dungeon Explore, but that shouldn't take too long.

    Thanks.

No Gobbos today, but the end of a project:

And the complete Super Dungeon Explore in (totally fake) action:

So this is what it feels like to completely finish a painting project.
    It's a nice feeling.

Nice one! Great work finishing it. I really love that game, having finally played it recently. I may have to get a copy myself. I hope completing your project can encourage you to finish your next one!

Ah, the problem with that is that my other projects are not as clearly defined. I think it's only theoretically possible for me to finish my Night Goblins, for example.

Speaking of which, Night Goblin on Giant Squig, the one that somehow inspired me to work on these in the first place:

I think he looks better in person, the picture is too bright and drowns out some of the highlights.
I am wondering what I should add to the base to make it look less empty. This has bothered me slightly with the regular Gobbos, but it's much more apparent here. Just some static grass?

Since it's going to be the hottest weekend in the history of forever that will be the last bit of painting for a couple of days at least. The attic will be like an oven...

Another thing I've been meaning to show is the one mini I bought this month (so far...), Irene Vioque from Tercio Creativo:

I was surprised because I expected it to be metal, but it seems to be some kind of plastic. The detail looks great, though, although the face might be a little washed out. Maybe it's just the colour that is misleading though; I'll find out after undercoating.
Again, here is their indiegogo campaign. Everybody go and throw some money at them! I'd hate to see them not reach their goal of a mere $8000 while other companies don't have a problem collecting a hundred times that amount.

Yes, thats always a major problem when the project doesn't come in one box. It is hard not to add more stuff to it! Surely if you painted all the night goblins you own they must be complete? Although that might be the impractical part

Sorry, no real results since I had to sort through my new reinforcement (pics at my plog). But I assembled the K´daii and started on the basing, the ranking up doesn`t seem to make as much problems as i feared. Think they will make a team for BSL over at CDO.
