The the female with hunter is very cool Must have taken some time to sculpt. I would do a shoulder belt yes. But I would also give a bit bigger breasts, why because you can and it is fantasy. Will keep following your plog.
If you think about it she already have pretty big breasts considering that you can see their shape underneath the leather armor.

I can just imagine a geeky band now slinking around now, trying to sneak a peek.
Thank you very much. Hmm, I had considered making a new warband with Cult of the possessed. maybe a boob theme would be in order. Cult of the boobsessed!

Thanks alot! I think I will start painting them tomorrow or wednesday.

Ok, so I followed your suggestion to take Empire Flags instead of the normal standard bearer and I really like it. I think I will paint it in some kind of empire heraldry like thing but with rats and runes instead of griffons and texts about Karl Franz and sigmar. So it will be debased but perhaps not like a big X over an empire helarldry. that feels too Orky.

Hope you like it and C&C is welcome!

That Stormvermin banner bearer is great! I knew it'd be a good idea (if I thought it was a poor one I wouldn't have mentioned it). Okay now I'm sounding less than humble, but good work never the less, I look forward to seeing what kind of design the banner will feature.

thanks alot for pushing me to convert it and I am also curious about what design I will use for the banner. :P

So, I have managed to paint some stormvermins. I guess 1½ a day was a bit of a overstatement. I haven't had the time to paint during this summercourse but now I'm free for about a week so hopefully will I get some painting done!

Also some progress on the witch huntress. done some pouches and stakes.I'll probably paint her up next!

And also some work on the bases has been done. These belong to my Witch hunter Warband. I'm trying out the basing on them before I move on to the Skaven.

Hope you like and C&C is welcome!

The stormvermin look great, certainly worth spending a bit of extra time on. That witch hunter is superb, consider that idea well and truly stolen

Your Stormvermin are coming along marvellously Nordic!
Each time I look at your female Witch Hunter I really wish I knew how to sculpt! I'd much rather have her than my finecast Witch Hunter with no belt buckles or nose!

Ha, thats sad about the witch hunter. have you asked GW for a new one?

I painted the witch hunter today.

I though I'd show what has kept me busy this summer. I went to a summercourse in Sculptural Anatomy this summer and here is my Ecorché as it is called. It was pretty intense, took me 4-5 weeks to make this.

Hope you like and C&C is appreciated!

    Re: Nordic's Skaven Army Plog

I got mine from Wayland games and tore open the packet and stuck him to a base before I realised his flaws. I can't be bothered about changing him, I might just strip the WHQ Witch Hunter I have (or send you a Dark Elf sorceress and ask for you to make me one LOL).

Your sculpture is incredible dude. Anatomy is such a useful thing for an artist to know and can improve work vastly.

Thanks! The sculpt is 75cm tall.

One of the witch hunters in my warband bothered me. He was called Abelhelm Mueller and his profile didn't match his model so I opted to make a new model for him seen below. This one however got turned into a Zealot instead.

The new Abelhelm! Looks alot more witch huntery imo. Now you can see that he has a sword, shield, crossbow and heavy armor which was my main concern and the big reason I made a new model for him. He got to keep his mustache though. I used two skaven cloaks and green stuff to make the coat.

Here they are all together with finished bases and everything. I suck at freehanding letters so I printed the names instead. I might change the name badges for some with higher resolution but for now they will do. they look good from a distance.
Now I have to make some warhounds. I'll do them on cavalry bases and I will use Irish Wolfhounds for reference.

hope you like and C&C is welcome.

    Re: Nordic's Skaven Army Plog

    Thanks guys!

When I play Mordheim I like to use warhounds cuz they're cheap and fast but I have no models for them, so far I've proxed them with goblin wolves and boars but that's boring in the long run so I started sculpting my own yesterday. I use Irish wolfhounds for reference and scale in proportion to a normal foot soldier. I can take some reference pics till next update if you like.

My birthday is coming up and my girlfriend will get me the plastic Nurgle Chaos Lord for present hopefully. But I wonder what should I do with it? Should I make it into a fat Barbarian or give it some form of clothing and make it something more Mordheimy? He is pretty big so I doub't I could do anything with him for the Undead warband but I was thinking about a magistrate for the Cult, perhaps a darksoul? It would be cool to give him some clothing or at least more armor. I have been thinking on what warband to do next and I'm leaning towards Cult of the possessed or the Undead.
If you have seen any cool conversions on this guy I would be very happy to see them posted here for inspirational purposes!
    Something along these lines
Or any cool artwork with fat characters from warhammer or 40k.

Doggies! They're off to a really promising start, good luck with that dude.

The fat guy, huh? Maybe some kind of executioner for your Mordheim war band? A fat pit fighter hired sword maybe? He'd make a pretty intimidating zombie. I've been wondering about using him as the basis for a conversion of the Necromunda character, Loa Gorg. The current White Dwarf has a Blanchitsu article focussing on how others have painted the model.

Them's some very nice Witch Hunters!

And to echo Astraeos, there's the possibility of un-nurgle-ifying the fat guy, and make yourself an executioner. I saw a Inq28-band somewhere, where he's a deposed planetary governor-turned servitor-executioner.

    Thanks alot!
It would make a good executioner for sure. But I am thinking of making it into a Magister type character for a Cult warband.

The doggies are done! I'm more happy with the bases than the actual dogs. :P I dunno, I guess they are too cute and not fierce enough.
